Our verdict on Salesforce Automotive Cloud
Salesforce Automotive Cloud is a cloud CRM for automotive OEMs, retailers, dealers, captive finance organizations, and ecosystem partners. It brings customer, vehicle, asset, and stakeholder data together across sales, finance, and service operations. Core capabilities cover lead capture and qualification, dealer-group lead distribution, vehicle history and health, inventory search and transfer, test-drive and service appointments, warranty and claims management, analytics, and workflow automation. It is aimed at automotive organizations that need one platform across multiple operational areas rather than a narrow lead-management tool.
Pricing is positioned for larger budgets. The Enterprise plan costs $350 per user per month when billed annually and includes automotive apps and features, advanced platform customization, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud. Unlimited costs $525 per user per month with unlimited platform customization, while Automotive Cloud Agentforce 1 Service and Automotive Cloud Agentforce 1 Sales each cost $750 per user per month and add Einstein for Automotive Cloud and Data Cloud for Automotive to the Automotive Cloud Unlimited Edition. A 30-day free trial is available, and the pricing page states that editions require annual contracts. The entry price and annual commitment make this a stronger fit for established automotive groups than smaller teams seeking a lower-cost CRM.
Its main advantage is breadth across automotive workflows and ecosystem connections. STAR standard APIs, MuleSoft, Experience Cloud, and dealer management systems support platform fit, while Flow for Automotive and OmniStudio support workflow automation. Automotive analytics and dealer performance dashboards add visibility across operations, and AI features extend the higher-priced Agentforce 1 plans. Choose Automotive Cloud when lead routing, vehicle and inventory data, appointments, service, claims, and dealer operations need to work within one enterprise platform. Teams that need only basic customer tracking or a simpler, lower-cost CRM should look elsewhere.
