Then, hover your mouse cursor on Media on the WordPress backend’s left pane and select Library.
- After doing that, select the image you wish to find its URL in the WordPress media library.
- Finally, you will find the image’s URL in the File URL box on the right pane of the Attachment details page.

- Access the backend of your WordPress website using an admin account. Next, click Pages or Posts on the backend’s left pane, depending on where the image you want to find its URL is uploaded.
- Next, select the title of the post/page where the image you want to get its URL is uploaded. For this demonstration, I will select the “Untitled” post on my WordPress website.
- Afterward, right-click the image you want to find its URL in the page/post and select Open image in new tab.
- When the image opens in a new tab, you will find its URL in your browser’s address bar.
Option 3: Find an Image URL Through Your Website Frontend
Apparently, the methods discussed above are carried out on the WordPress backend. However, do you know you can also get the URL of an image uploaded on your WordPress site through the front end (live website)?
Although this method is relatively easier than the others, you can only get the URL of an image uploaded on a published post/page. Nevertheless, you don’t need an administrator account to use this method.
