Amazon Digital is a set of digital content services (non-physical goods) offered by Amazon. This Itechguide explains the different categories of Amazon Digital content services.

Amazon Music

Amazon Music is an Amazon Digital service that offers Amazon Music Free, Prime Music and Amazon Music Unlimited.

Amazon Music Free is an Amazon Digital content service that offers free access to playlists from top artists and radio stations – it includes Ads.

You do not need Amazon Prime membership to access free music from Amazon. However, you will not have access to HD, Ultra HD, or 3D playback. The service also does not support offline access – you cannot download music to to listen offline.

Moreover, Amazon Music Free is available on Alexa – use your voice to control music playback via Alexa. You can also access this free service from iOS, Android, Fire TV, Fire Tablet and Amazon Music for Web.

Prime Music is inclusive in Amazon Prime subscription at no additional cost. With your Amazon Prime membership you have access to over 2 million songs and thousands of playlists.

Like the free version, Prime Music does not offer you Ultra HD, HD, or 3D playback. However, this Amazon Digital service supports offline music download (to listen offline) and Alexa interaction.

Amazon Music Unlimited is an Amazon Digital premium music subscription service that offers all the benefits of Prime Music with additional features. You do not need Amazon Prime to access Amazon Music Unlimited.

This digital music service features over 60 million songs, and thousands of Playlists hand-picked and created by Amazon’s music experts. You also have access to thousands of radio stations. The Unlimited service grants you access to 3D, Ultra HD and HD playback.

HD is available with Amazon Music HD Add- On Subscription with some plans. 3D audio is only available on Amazon Echo Studio devices.

You also enjoy ad-free, unlimited playlists with Alexa support and offline download.

Offline download is not available in Amazon Music Unlimited Single-Device Plan.

Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video is another Amazon Digital service. This digital video service is included with Amazon Prime. The service grants you access to video titles. The following Amazon Prime membership plans comes with Prime Video – Annual, Monthly, 30-day free trial and Student memberships.

However, some video titles may not be included in Prime Video. Any title included in your Amazon Prime subscription will be clearly indicated with Prime logo beside the title. Moreover, any video title not included may be purchased or rented.

Amazon Appstore

Amazon Appstore is another Digital service – offers free, paid or subscription apps via the Amazon Appstore. This service is similar to Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store services.

Amazon Software & Video Games

This is yet another Digital service from this internet giant. Digital Software & Video Games is a set of digital software and games sold by Amazon. Apart from direct software and video game purchases, the service also offers subscription to some other digital content.

Amazon Photos & Amazon Drive

Amazon Photos & Amazon Drive are Amazon Digital content services that give you free cloud storage for your photos and general contents respectively.

Most Amazon customers may not be aware of this but Amazon gives every customer free 5 GB to store and share their photos. The photos can be accessed from a desktop, mobile, or tablet devices.
