Conversions use the exact international definitions: an inch is exactly 2.54 cm, a pound exactly 0.45359237 kg, a US gallon exactly 3.785411784 litres. Temperature is handled properly as an offset scale (Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin), not a simple multiplication.

Data sizes are offered both ways, because both are in everyday use: decimal kilobytes, megabytes and gigabytes (1 KB = 1000 bytes, as drive makers count) and binary kibibytes, mebibytes and gibibytes (1 KiB = 1024 bytes, as most operating systems count). Volume units are US customary unless marked imperial.
