If you request to delete your account, you will lose your mails. If you have a Flickr account, it will also be deleted. From the date you request for your account to be terminated, it will deactivated and then deleted within 30 days. If you are in Australia, India or New Zealand, the deletion period may take up to 90 days. However, if your account is in Brazil, Hong Kong or Taiwan, it may take up to 180 days to delete.
  1. Open the Yahoo Account Delete page (link opens in a new browser tab). Then, on the first page, enter your Yahoo username, email address of mobile phone number and click Next.

  1. On the Enter password page, enter your Yahoo password and click Next.

  1. Then, on the information page, read the provided warning messages, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Continue deleting my account.

  1. Finally, to delete Yahoo account, on the final confirmation page, enter the full email address of the Yahoo account you wish to terminate. Then, on the bottom of the page, click Yes, terminate this account.
