If you delete your account, you will lose your emails, files stored in Google Drive, calendars, and photos. You will also lose access to all services tied to your Google account – services like YouTube and Google Play.
Before you delete your account, download the data you want to keep. When you are happy to proceed, follow the steps below to delete Google account.
- Open myaccount.google.com – if you have not signed in before, on the top right of the page, click Sign in. You could also click the Sign in at the bottom of the page.
- Then, on the sign in page, enter your Google email address and click Next.
- On the next page, enter your password and click Next.
- When your My Google Account page opens, on the left pane click Data and personalization.
- Then scroll down to the Download, delete, or make a plan for your data section and click Delete a service or your account.
If you have not yet downloaded your data, you may download it from this page before you proceed with the Google account deletion.
- On the Delete a service or your account page, click Delete your account. You will be required to confirm your password before you continue.
On this page, you have another opportunity to download your data
- On the password confirmation page, enter your Google password and click Next.
- Finally, to delete Google account, on the Delete your Google Account, page read the information carefully. Then, scroll down, agree to the 2 license agreements and click DELETE ACCOUNT.
