This Itechguide teaches you how to delete a YouTube channel from a PC.
As at the time of writing, the option to delete a YouTube channel is only available when you login to YouTube.com from a PC or Mac.
Here are the steps…
Step 1: Login to Your YouTube Account
- Open YouTube.com from your PC or Mac. Then, on the top right of the page, click SIGN IN. If you are already signed in to your YouTube account, skip to step 2 of this Itechguide.
- If you have signed in to your YouTube account from the browser, you will be offered the option to select an account. Click the Google account for the YouTube channel you want to delete.
- Alternatively, if you have not signed in to your Google account on the browser, click Use another account.
- Then, type the password for the Google Account linked to your YouTube channel. After entering your password, to login, click Next.
Step 2: Confirm You’re Signed on to the Right YouTube Channel
If you delete a YouTube channel, you lose the channel name and data associated with the channel. It is therefore important to confirm that you are deleting the right channel.

- On the top right of your YouTube account, click your account icon.
- Then, from the displayed options, click Switch account.
- The YouTube channels attached to the Google email will be listed beneath the email. Click on the channel you want to delete.
Step 3: Delete the YouTube Channel
- On the top right of your YouTube account, click your account icon. Then, from the listed options, click Settings.
- When your YouTube account settings opens, scroll down to the Your Channel section and click View advanced settings.
- Finally, on the Advanced settings page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Delete channel.
- To confirm that you are the legitimate owner of the channel you are trying to delete, Google will require you to confirm your account password.
- Type your Google Account password and click Next.
- Once you confirm your Google Account, you will be redirected to the Remove YouTube content page. The page offers the option to hide or permanently delete the channel.
- To delete your YouTube channel, click the drop-down arrow beside I want to permanently delete my content.
- Finally, to delete a YouTube channel, check all the boxes and click DELETE MY CONTENT.
