This Itechguide teaches you how to copy and paste on Chromebook. The guide covers 2 methods to copy and paste on Chrome OS.

Option 1: Copy and Paste with Keyboard

You can copy and paste on Chromebook using keyboard shortcuts. Here are the steps…

  1. To copy an item using your keyboard, press and hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard. While holding the Ctrl key, press the C key.
Once you press Ctrl + C simultaneously, the item will be copied to your clipboard.
  1. To paste the copied item, open the location you wish to paste the item. Then, press the Ctrl key on your keyboard and hold the key. Finally, press the V key.
With Ctrl + V keys pressed at the same time, the item will be posted in the location you want to paste it.

Option 2: Copy and Paste with Mouse

Another method to copy and paste on Chromebook is to use your mouse.

  1. Right-click the text or item you want to copy and select Copy. The test or item will be copied to the clipboard.
  2. Then, open the location you wish to paste the item or text you copied, right-click the location and select Paste.
For Windows OS users switching to Chrome OS, you will find that most tasks you perform on Chromebook use the same keyboard shortcuts. Moreover, you can use your mouse in Chromebook the way you use it in Windows.
