This guide demos how to activate Google Voice.
The steps in this guide can be used by a G Suite user to setup Google Voice after a G Suite administrator has Setup Google Voice in G Suite.
Option 1: Activate Google Voice from a PC Browser
- Open voice.google.com. If you are not signed in to your G Suite account, you will be required to sign in. Enter your G Suite account email. Then enter your password and click Next.
- Once you login to Google Voice you will see the number your G Suite administrator assigned you. To proceed with Google Voice activation, click Next.
- You have the option to link your Google Voice number to your existing mobile phone number. To link your existing number, click link your mobile number.
- Then enter your existing mobile number and click Send code.
- Enter the code Google sent you in this space. Then click Verify.
- At the confirmation screen click Finish. Then click Get started.
Option 2: Activate Google Voice on Android Phone
You can use Google Voice from your phone. The steps in this guide will walk you through how to set up Google Voice on your Android phone.
Here are the detailed steps:
- From your Android phone, open Google Play and Search Google Voice. To install the App, click Install.
- When the App is fully installed, open it. If you have signed into your G Suite Google account on your phone, select it from the list. Otherwise, click Add account.
- Google Voice App will request access to your Contacts.
- You have activated Google Voice on your Android phone!
It is that simple to setup Google Voice on your PC or Android phone!
