This movie centers around seven guests, a butler and a maid in a hill house. The guests are anonymously invited to the hill house for dinner but while they were inside the house, their host was killed.
As a result, the guests must cooperate with the butler and maid in the house to find the killer among them. However, this was not easy considering the fact that everyone is a suspect until proven otherwise.

Eighth Grade
Coming 9th in my pick of the best comedy movies on Amazon Prime is “Eighth Grade”.
“Eighth Grade” is about a thirteen-year-old girl Kayla as she tries to live through her last week of middle school. To her father and peers in school, Kayla is an introvert who is always moody.
Without their knowledge, on YouTube and other social media platforms, Kayla has always expressed herself and offered great advice. However, away from the social platforms, she keeps to herself. Subsequently, Kayla learns to get out of the shadows and show her true self.

The Disaster Artist
“The Disaster Artist” is no 8 in my pick of the best comedy movies on Amazon Prime.
The movie is based on a true story of a potential actor Greg Sestero as he meets a strange guy Tommy Wiseau in an acting class. Both of them form a unique friendship and they decide to travel to Hollywood to start their acting career.
However, while in Hollywood, after several auditions, Tommy and Greg struggle to get roles in a movie. To make their dreams come true, Tommy decides to write, direct, and produce a movie in which he can star himself and Greg.
“The Disaster Artist” features comedy and drama. It is arguably one of the best comedy movies to watch on Amazon Prime.
Zombieland
At no 7 in my pick of the best comedy movies on Amazon Prime is “Zombieland”.
The story of the movie is about a time when most of the population in America are Zombies. While going their separate ways, a timid student, a rough head guy, and two sisters come across each other.
Consequently, they stick together and form a team to face the terror and horrifying encounters alone their way. The goal is to leave each day by staying alive until they achieve their purpose.

The Big Sick
Taking the 6th spot in my pick of the best comedy movies on Amazon Prime is “The Big Sick”.
“The Big Sick” is a real-life story about the courtship between Pakistani-American comedian Kumail Nanjiani and American writer Emily Gordon. Kumail and Emily were in love but struggles in the relationship due to their backgrounds.
However, in the wake of Emily’s strange illness, Kumail finds himself dealing with his feelings, Emily’s parents, his career as a comedian, and family expectations.
If you love romantic comedy movies, “The Big Sick” is definitely the perfect one to watch. It is available on Amazon Prime.
Superbad
“Superbad” is no 5 in my pick of the best comedy movies on Amazon Prime.
The story-line is about two high school friends who have always stuck together at all times. As the two friends try to live through the last weeks of high school, they come up with an idea to impress and hook up with girls.
The plan was to get enough drinks to a party to attract the ladies. However, their plan didn’t go exactly as planned and landed them in more hilarious situations.
“Superbad” is a great comedy movie with a lot of funny scenes that will keep you laughing all through the movie. You can watch the movie now on Amazon Prime.
What We Do in the Shadows
At no 4 in my pick of the best comedy movies on Amazon Prime is “What We Do in the Shadows”.
The movie is about three hundred years old vampires Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav as they struggle to live a modern life. The vampires find themselves frustrated with tiresome stuff such as rents, chores, flatmate conflicts, and getting into nightclubs.
At the same time, the vampires are trying to overcome the stress of their immortal life and thirst for human blood. However, for these three vampires to live like normal beings, they seriously have to try harder.
“What We Do in the Shadows” features comedy with some chilling scenes. It is surely one of the best comedy movies on Amazon Prime.
Lady Bird
“Lady Bird” ranks 3rd in my pick of the best comedy movies on Amazon Prime.
This comedy movie is about a high school senior girl Christine McPherson who has a close but troubling relationship with her mother. At the same time, Christine longs to enjoy diverse experiences and adventures which she is lacking in her catholic high school.
Consequently, Christine aims to attend a prestigious college where she will feel worldliness. As a result of this, she leads a series of comic adventures in her senior year of high school.
“Lady Bird” is a remarkable production. If you love comedy with crazy drama, you need to see this one. It is available on Amazon Prime.
The Farewell
Coming 2nd spot in my pick of the best comedy movies on Amazon Prime is “The Farewell”.
In this movie, a Chinese family discovers their grandmother has only a short time to live. To make her last days on earth memorable and bid a good farewell, they decide to stage a wedding ceremony.
Meanwhile, while everyone prepares for the wedding, the granddaughter Billi seems to disagree with the whole arrangement. Billi wants her grandmother to know about the state of her illness.

The Truman Show
Wrapping it up in my pick of the best comedy movies on Amazon Prime, at no 1 is “The Truman Show”.
“The Truman Show” centers around the life of insurance salesman Truman who is unaware that his whole community is a gigantic studio. From his infant life to his adulthood, Truman’s entire life has been a reality TV show.
Subsequently, after a strange incident occurred, Truman finds it hard to believe the reality of his world. For the first time in his life, Truman begins to find everything around him suspicious and unreal.
