“Shaft” features action, crime and comedy. It is a good one on Netflix, you don’t want to miss.

The movie tells the story of a civil rights activist – Ann Atwater. In 1971, Ann Atwater confronted the ku klux klan leader during a summit on school integration in North Carolina. However, she ends up forming an unlikely friendship.

“The Best of Enemies” is a brilliant production. It will surely give you a wonderful experience.

“Black Panther” is about a hidden African kingdom with exceptional technology. However, an old enemy posses a great threat to the kingdom. Also, his actions might unveil the hidden kingdom.

At the same time, a new king is crowned. The king’s first real task is to stop the imminent threat.

The movie is a remarkable production. If you want a superb Sci-Fi action movie, “Black Panther” is the complete package.

Dolemite Is My Name

“Dolemite Is My Name” ranks 7th in my pick of best black movies on Netflix.

The story here is about an iconic comedian – Rudy Ray Moore. In this movie, Eddie Murphy plays Rudy Ray Moore.

“Dolemite Is My Name” tells the story of a man who has tried everything to become famous. Despite the challenging circumstances, he still came out on top.

The movie is a hilarious black movie on Netflix that will totally captivate your attention.

Fruitvale Station

“Fruitvale Station” takes the 6th spot in my pick of best black movies on Netflix.

The movie tells a touching story and final moments of Oscar grant. Oscar grant was shot by a San Francisco police officer in 2009. The incident took place on the New Year’s Day. The victim was 22 years old at the time.

“Fruitvale Station” is a fine production. If you are curious about this unfortunate incident, add the movie to your watch-list.

Seven Pounds

Ranking at no 5 in my pick of best black movies on Netflix is “Seven Pounds”.

“Seven Pounds” is about a man who got hold of a dark secret. As a result, he tries to help seven strangers, giving the strangers a second chance.

The movie is absolutely one of the best black movies on Netflix. If you watch “Seven Pounds”, you will enjoy every moment.

The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

“The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” ranks 4th in my pick of best black movies on Netflix.

The movie tells a true life story of a thirteen-year old boy in Malawi. When his village was in famine, the boy builds a windmill from limited resources.

Surprisingly, the windmill generates water desperately needed by the village. As a result, the village was saved from famine.

“The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind” is a moving story with certain life lessons to be learnt. The movie is a fantastic production that will give you fine experience.

Mudbound

“Mudbound” comes at no 3 in my pick of best black movies on Netflix.

The movie is set in a time shortly after the World war II. It revolves around a black family and a white family. The two Mississippi families live close to each other.

However, due to the damaged social hierarchy the two families find it hard to relate with each other.

“Mudbound” is a top-notch production. If you want to be entertained, add “Mudbound”to your watch-list.

Beasts of No Nation

“Beasts of No Nation” ranks 2nd in my pick of best black movies on Netflix.

The story-line is about a young boy who was a victim of a civil war in a West African country. During the war, the boy lost his father.

Subsequently, he was forced to join a group of rebels. The commander of the rebel turned the boy to a child soldier.

“Beasts of No Nation” is an outstanding production. The movie will certainly give you a touching and thrilling experience.

Moonlight

Finally, at no 1 in my pick of best black movies on Netflix is “Moonlight”.

“Moonlight” is about a young African-American man who faced challenges in his childhood. Now, as an adult, he still struggle to live each day.

The movie is an outstanding production with notable awards. “Moonlight” will surely entertain you.
