Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minutePC Slower Than It Used to Be?

For a direct wired transfer, connect the phone with a data-capable USB cable and select File Transfer on Android. Quick Share is more convenient when both devices meet its wireless requirements; USB avoids wireless discovery and acceptance. Official instructions do not establish that either method is universally faster.

Google’s [Quick Share for Windows instructions](https://support.google.com/android/answer/13801258) describe wireless setup, requirements, and recipient controls. Its [USB transfer instructions](https://support.google.com/android/answer/9064445) explain the wired workflow and troubleshooting.
When to choose each method
Choose Quick Share for a nearby cable-free transfer
Quick Share is a practical choice when the PC and phone meet Google’s requirements and can connect over a shared network. It is also useful when you want the recipient to review an incoming request instead of opening a wired file workflow.
Choose USB for a direct connection
USB is a straightforward option when the devices are together and you have a suitable cable. You do not need wireless device discovery, but you do need to unlock the phone and change its USB mode to File Transfer.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Do not choose by assumed speed
Google’s cited support pages do not publish a controlled Quick Share-versus-USB speed comparison. They establish setup and compatibility requirements, not a winner on speed. Choose based on whether wireless setup or a cable is more convenient for the transfer at hand.

Check compatibility first
Google lists these requirements: a 64-bit PC running Windows 10 or later; Android 6 or later; Bluetooth and Wi-Fi or Ethernet enabled on both devices; both devices on the same network; and a distance of no more than 5 metres. ARM-based PCs require Windows 11 or later. Google says Quick Share is available in the United States and most countries, excluding Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria. Samsung PC owners should use Samsung’s Quick Share app from Microsoft Store rather than Google’s Windows app. Galaxy device settings and features may differ from the general Android workflow. - SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Install the app and set visibility
- On a supported Windows PC, download and install Google’s Quick Share app. Do not open it as administrator. Sign in to your Google Account to access all options.
- In the Windows app, set device visibility to Everyone, Contacts, Your devices, or No one. Google recommends signing in and choosing Contacts or Your devices as a privacy-conscious setting.
Send a file and accept it on the receiving device
- In Quick Share on Windows, choose a file or drag it into the app, then select the receiving device.
- On the receiving device, review and accept the transfer request. If a PIN appears, check that it matches on both devices. Transfers between devices using the same Google Account are automatically accepted.
- On Windows, find received files in Downloads, inside a folder named Quick Share.
Google states that files shared with Quick Share are encrypted. The recipient and visibility controls are separate: a device must be discoverable under its visibility setting before it can receive a request. [Google’s Quick Share instructions](https://support.google.com/android/answer/13801258)
Transfer files with a USB cable
- Unlock the Android phone and connect it to the Windows PC with a USB cable.
- On the phone, tap the notification that says “Charging this device via USB.”
- Under “Use USB for,” select “File Transfer.”
- Use the file transfer window on Windows to drag files between the phone and computer.
- Eject the device from Windows before unplugging the cable.
Use a cable that supports data transfer and has connectors compatible with both devices. A cable that charges the phone may not carry files: Google cautions, “Not all USB cables can transfer files.” [Google’s USB transfer instructions](https://support.google.com/android/answer/9064445)

Troubleshoot Quick Share
- The receiving device does not appear: Check that its visibility setting allows discovery, Bluetooth is on, Wi-Fi is enabled on both devices, both are on the same network, and they are within 5 metres.
- The office network blocks sharing: Some office networks prevent device-to-device sharing. Google suggests using the phone’s hotspot and connecting the PC to it.
- Discovery remains unreliable: As a troubleshooting step, Google suggests bringing devices within 30 cm. This is a closer-distance troubleshooting suggestion, not a replacement for the stated general maximum of 5 metres.
- The app does not offer all options: Sign in to your Google Account. Samsung PC owners should use Samsung’s Quick Share app.

- Windows does not detect the phone: Check whether Windows detects new hardware, then restart the phone and computer.
- The connection still fails: Update Android and test the phone or PC port with another computer or device to help identify a port problem.
