Our verdict on Sync.com
Sync.com is a cloud storage and file synchronization service for individuals, businesses, and teams. Its core offering combines end-to-end encrypted storage with real-time backup and synchronization, secure sharing, team shared folders, document previews, offline access, and deleted-file recovery. Access is available through the web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, making it suited to privacy-focused individuals and small teams that need shared files without giving up administrative controls.
Pricing covers a free plan and several paid options. Free includes 5 GB of storage, up to five devices, 30-day file recovery, and end-to-end encryption. Personal 150GB costs $4 per month when billed monthly or $3.50 per month when billed annually, with basic sharing. Personal 1TB costs $16 monthly or $12 annually and adds advanced sharing, files-on-demand, and file recovery. Solo 5TB costs $32 monthly or $28 annually and adds custom branding. The Teams 1TB plan costs $8 per user per month on monthly billing, includes 1 TB per user and an administrator account, and requires three users. A 30-day free trial is also available.
The platform fit is practical rather than expansive: Sync.com lists Windows File Explorer, macOS Finder, and Microsoft Office 365 integrations, alongside native web and mobile access. Teams gain centralized billing, user management, activity logs, role-based permissions, and an administrative console, while individual users get secure links, password-protected sharing, selective sync, and file previews. Choose Sync.com for encrypted storage, recovery, and controlled collaboration across five platforms. Consider another service if your priority is a larger free allowance, broader listed integrations, or a team plan without a three-user minimum.
