Our verdict on Internxt Drive
Internxt Drive is a cloud storage service for individuals, families, and businesses that need to store, synchronize, back up, and share files. It combines web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and API access with client-side zero-knowledge encryption. Internxt says files are encrypted on the user’s device before upload, using zero-knowledge and post-quantum encryption. The service also includes virtual-drive access, encrypted folder backups, password-protected sharing links, file restoration, team folders, and collaboration features. Its open-source status adds appeal for buyers who prioritize privacy and transparency.
Pricing is organized across four plans. Free includes 1 GB of encrypted cloud storage. Essential costs €9.99 per month with annual billing and adds 1 TB, a 10 GB maximum file size, encrypted backups, and password-protected sharing. Premium costs €19.99 per month with annual billing and provides 3 TB, a 50 GB maximum file size, file versioning, and collaboration features. Ultimate costs €29.99 per month with annual billing and includes 5 TB, a 100 GB maximum file size, file versioning, NAS support, and Rclone support. The published pricing information states that annual subscriptions are charged monthly, while the listed prices exclude an introductory first-month discount.
Internxt Drive’s strongest differentiator is the combination of privacy controls and platform breadth. Users can work through desktop and mobile applications, while CLI, WebDAV, NAS, and Rclone access support more technical workflows. File version history is available on Premium and Ultimate, and business offerings include team folders, administrator controls, SSO, and shared billing. Choose Internxt Drive if encrypted storage, large capacity, open-source status, and flexible access matter more than the lower possible entry price. Users seeking only a small free storage space, or who do not need privacy-focused controls and higher-tier collaboration features, may find its paid structure less suitable.
