Our verdict on AlertOps

AlertOps is an incident orchestration platform for IT operations, DevOps, and enterprise response teams. It ingests alerts from monitoring and ticketing systems, groups related events into incident records, routes incidents to on-call responders, and escalates unacknowledged alerts across multiple channels. Its scope also covers stakeholder notifications, branded status pages, analytics, AI-generated post-mortems, mobile incident response, and API access. Teams can work through web, iOS, and Android apps, with integrations for Slack, Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow, Jira, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, New Relic, AWS, Zendesk, Prometheus, and Nagios.

Pricing is structured for teams that want to start small and add operational depth. The Free plan costs $0 per month for up to 5 users and includes basic alert routing, 3 escalation policies, and 200+ integrations. Standard costs $10 per user per month with monthly billing or $8 with annual billing, and adds multi-channel notifications and on-call scheduling for up to 10 users. Premium costs $22 monthly or $18 annually per user, adding live call routing, workflow automation, and SSO / SAML. Enterprise costs $34 monthly or $28 annually per user, adding custom integrations, a dedicated account manager, and a 99.9% SLA guarantee. A 14-day free trial is also available.

The platform’s strongest fit is for teams that need more than basic paging: rotations, overrides, shift swaps, follow-the-sun support, time-based escalation triggers, automatic re-escalation, custom response playbooks, and two-way ITSM synchronization are all covered. Status Hub supports public, private, and authenticated status pages, while AI-assisted post-incident analysis can help with post-mortems and historical incident insights. Smaller teams may find the user limits restrictive as their on-call organization grows, and advanced capabilities require Premium or Enterprise pricing. Choose AlertOps when broad integrations and an end-to-end incident workflow matter; consider a narrower tool if you only need basic alert routing or simple scheduling.
