The Miele M 6012 SC is a freestanding 26-litre microwave with a maximum 900 W microwave output and an 800 W quartz grill. Its listed features are useful for everyday cooking, but the key buying questions are whether its dimensions and left-hinged door suit your counter, and whether you will use the grill and combination mode. Miele’s specifications document its features; the limited owner feedback available is too small to establish general performance or reliability.
What the Miele M 6012 SC offers
Miele describes the M 6012 SC as a countertop appliance, not a built-in microwave. Its specification sheet lists a 26 L capacity, seven microwave power levels, a quartz grill and microwave/grill combination operation.
| Feature | Documented specification | What it means for a buyer |
|---|---|---|
| Microwave output | Maximum 900 W; levels of 80, 150, 300, 450, 600, 750 and 900 W | You can select among several power settings. The figures do not establish how quickly or evenly this model cooks. |
| Grill | 800 W quartz grill | Provides a grill function; independent browning results have not been established. |
| Combination operation | Microwave/grill combination listed | The appliance can use microwave and grill operation together. Check the manual for the available settings and instructions. |
| Capacity and turntable | 26 L; 32.5 cm turntable | Check both the turntable diameter and the 20.7 cm interior height against the dishes you use. |
| Convenience features | Automatic programmes, memory function, quick microwave, minute minder, time display and keeping warm | There are preset and convenience options on paper; consult the manual for their exact operation. |
| Interior | Stainless steel oven compartment | Miele says the surface is easy to clean and supports microwave distribution. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent test results. |
The listed controls are on the side. This may suit buyers who prefer side-mounted controls, but the specification alone does not establish how easy the interface is to use.

The Miele model information gives external dimensions of 520 mm wide × 305 mm high × 422 mm deep. The door is hinged on the left, and the turntable is 32.5 cm across. Measure the space available, including room for the door to swing and the clearances required by the manual or installation drawing.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Counter space: Compare all three external dimensions with your available surface and overhead space.
- Door access: Check that a left-hinged door can open fully without hitting a wall, cabinet or adjacent appliance.
- Dish clearance: A 26 L capacity does not guarantee that every large dish will fit. Check the 32.5 cm turntable diameter and 20.7 cm interior height.
- Ventilation: Follow the manual’s required clearances rather than treating the appliance dimensions as the full space needed.
What owner feedback says—and does not say
Miele Australia’s shop listing showed a 3.5/5 rating across four reviews when retrieved in 2026; one of the four reviewers recommended the product. This is a small, self-selected regional sample, not a reliable measure of overall satisfaction or product quality.
Individual comments on Miele New Zealand’s listing included a three-star reviewer who felt the appliance was smaller and flimsier than the one it replaced and considered the price high. A four-star reviewer liked its appearance but described the door as loud when closing. These are personal impressions, not findings that establish typical performance or build quality.

Who should consider the M 6012 SC?
- Consider it if you want a freestanding microwave with a grill and combination mode, and its dimensions, door swing and local electrical specification suit your kitchen.
- Look more closely before choosing it if you need a larger usable cavity, have limited counter clearance, or rarely use grill functions. Compare interior height and turntable diameter—not capacity alone—against your usual cookware.
- Do not treat the available owner rating as proof of long-term reliability or a broad consensus. The cited shop sample is small, and independent performance evidence for this model was not established.
