The Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Business Credit Card’s offer displayed by Chase on October 8, 2026, was 80,000 Rapid Rewards points after $3,000 in purchases within the first three months after account opening. The card has a $149 annual fee. That is lower than the $299 fee on Southwest’s Performance Business card, but whether Premier is a good fit depends on your Southwest spending and whether you will use its travel benefits.
What is the current welcome offer, and who qualifies?
Chase’s U.S. offer page displayed 80,000 points after at least $3,000 in qualifying purchases during the first three months from account opening when checked on October 8, 2026. Chase’s terms state: “To qualify for your bonus points, you must make Purchases totaling $3,000 or more during the first 3 months from account opening.” The offer can change and may vary by application channel, so check the terms shown on the application page before applying. Chase’s offer and terms
- The offer is unavailable to current cardmembers of this business card and to former cardmembers who received a new-cardmember bonus for this card within the prior 24 months.
- The account must remain open and not be in default when the bonus is fulfilled.
- Balance transfers, cash advances, cash-like transactions, fees, and other transactions specified in Chase’s terms do not count toward the spending requirement.
What does the card cost?
The annual fee is $149 and Chase says it is applied to the first billing statement. Chase displayed a variable APR of 19.49%–27.99% when the offer was checked; the rate offered to an applicant may differ. Carrying a balance can generate interest, so rewards should not be treated as offsetting borrowing costs. Review the live pricing and full offer terms before applying. Chase offer details

How does Premier compare with Performance Business?

The right choice depends on whether the additional earning and benefits are worth the extra fee for your business.

How to decide whether Premier fits your business
Consider Premier if
- Your business already spends enough on eligible purchases to meet the welcome-offer requirement without buying things it does not need.
- You regularly purchase flights directly from Southwest and value the 3X earning rate.
- The listed benefits, such as the free first checked bag or seat selection when available, match how you travel.
- You prefer a lower annual fee to Performance and do not expect to use its higher Southwest earning rate or additional seat options enough to justify the extra $150.
Look closely at the spending requirement and costs
Count only purchases Chase says qualify, and make sure the $3,000 threshold is realistic within three months. Do not carry a balance to earn points: interest charges can outweigh rewards. The offer page and card terms, rather than a headline bonus, should guide your decision.

Are 80,000 points worth a fixed dollar amount?
No fixed cash value for the 80,000 points is established by the cited official program sources. The value you realize depends on how you redeem points and the program rules in effect. The Rapid Rewards Premier Business Card Rewards Program Agreement, dated February 9, 2026, describes program terms; it does not establish a guaranteed redemption value. Treat the offer as a number of points, not as a promised dollar saving.
