This Itechguide teaches you how to turn off sticky keys in Windows 10. The guide covers steps for 2 methods to turn off sticky keys in Windows 10.
Option 1: Turn off Sticky Keys from Settings
- Right-click the Windows 10 Start menu and click Settings.
- On the Windows Settings screen, click Ease of Access.
- Then, scroll down the left pane to the Interaction category and click Keyboard.
- Finally, on the Keyboard settings screen, scroll down to Use Sticky Keys and toggle the button beneath Press one key at a time for keyboard shortcuts from On to Off.
- Also, deselect the Allow the shortcut key to start Sticky Keys checkbox.
- When you finish, your Sticky Keys settings should look like the image below.
Option 2: Turn off Sticky Keys from Control Panel
The steps covered in this section wil work for Windows 10 and Windows 7.
- Type control panel in the Windows 10 search. Then, from the search result, click Control Panel.
- When Control Panel opens, on the top right, if View by is not set to Category, click the drop-down and select Category.
- Then, click Ease of Access.
- On the Ease of Access Centre, click Change how your keyboard works.
- When the Make the keyboard easier to use screen opens, beneath Make it easier to type, uncheck Turn on Sticky Keys checkbox and click Apply.
- Then, click Set up Sticky Keys.
- When the Set up Sticky Keys screen opens, ensure that Turn on Sticky Keys and Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT is pressed five times checkboxes are UNCHECKED. Then, click OK.
It is very easy to turn off sticky keys Windows 10!
