Tagging a FB Page simply means mentioning the page on a post.
Option 1: Tag a Page Through the App
The steps in this Itechguide was performed from the Facebook App for Android. But they are applicable if you use the iPhone App.
- Open the Facebook App on your phone.
- To start a new post, tap What’s on your mine?. A new post window will popup.
- Then, on the new post tap What’s on your mine? to activate your keyboard.
- On your keyboard, tap the !#1 key. Then tap the @ sign.
- The next step is to type the name of the Facebook Page you want to mention in your post. To activate your normal keys, tab the ABC key on your keyboard.
- Next to the @ sign, type the name of the Facebook Page. Then select it from the list.
- Finally, to share the new post, tap POST.
After tagging the Page, you can add additional texts before sharing the post.
- The new post will go live with the Facebook Page. If somebody taps the page name on your post, the Facebook Page will open.
Option 2: Tag a Page via a PC
- Open Facebook.com and login with your Facebook account.
- Then, on your Facebook News Feed, click What’s on your mind? This will open a new post in a pop up window.
- On the pop up post window, type the @ sign. Then, next to the @ sign, type the name of the Facebook Page and select it from the list.
- The Facebook Page is now tagged on your post. You could add additional texts to the post. To share the post, click Post.
- The post will be shared with the Facebook Page tagged!
