This Itechguide teaches you how to report someone on Facebook. The guide covers steps to report someone on Facebook from a PC, Android or iPhone.
Option 1: Report Someone Using a PC
This section covers steps to report a person (Facebook profile), a Post or a comment.
Method 1: Report a Facebook Profile on Facebook.com (PC)
- Open Facebook.com from a browser in your PC. Then, login with your Email or Phone and Password.
- Open the Facebook profile of the person you want to report. You can use Facebook search to find the person. Or, if the person shared a post, click the person’s name (above the post).
- When the person’s profile opens, click the 3 dots at the bottom right of the profile. Then, from the list of displayed options click Find support or report profile.
- Finally, on the Please select a problem to continue pop up, select a reason you are reporting the person.
- Then, after making your selection, at the bottom right of the pop up, click Send.
Method 2: Report a Facebook Post on Facebook.com (PC)
- Click the 3 dots on the top right of the post you want to report. A set of options will be displayed.
- From the displayed options, select Find support or report post.
- Finally, select a reason for reporting the post. Then, at the bottom right of the window, click Send.
How to Report a Facebook Comment on Facebook.com (PC)
- Locate the Facebook comment you want to report and hover your mouse over it.
- When you hover over the comment, 3 dots will appear on the top right of the Comment. Click the 3 dots. Then, click Find support or report comment.
- Finally, to report the comment, select your reason and click Send.
Option 2: Report Someone from Android or iPhone
This section covers steps to report a Facebook profile, Post or Comment from Android or iPhone. The steps for both platforms are similar.

The steps below were performed on an Android phone.
Method 1: Report a Facebook Profile
- Open the Facebook App on your phone. Then, open the profile of the person you want to report.
- At the bottom right of the person’s profile, tap the More button. A set of options will be displayed at the bottom of your screen.
- From the displayed options, tap Find support or report profile.
The iPhone App does not offer the option to report a Profile.
- Finally, select your reason for reporting the profile. Then, at the bottom right tap Send.
How to Report a Facebook Post from Android or iPhone
- Locate the Facebook Post you want to report and tap the 3 lines on the top right of the post. Some options will be displayed.
- From the displayed options, tap Find support or report post.
- Finally, select your reason for reporting the post. Then, at the bottom of the screen, tap Send.
Method 2: Report a Facebook Comment
- At the bottom of the Post with the comment you want to report, tap the Comment count. All the post comments will be displayed.
- Locate the comment you want to report. Then, tap and hold the comment until some options are displayed beneath the comment (bottom of the screen).
- From the displayed options, tap Find support or report comment.
- Finally, pick a reason for reporting the comment and tap Send.
