How to Change LinkedIn URL

In this Itechguide, Victor teaches you how to change LinkedIn URL.

As at the time of writing this Itechguide the option to edit your LinkedIn URL is not available on the App. However, you can modify your LinkedIn URL from a mobile browser on your smartphone. The steps are included in the second section of this guide.

Option 1: Change URL from a PC or Mac

  1. Open LinkedIn.com from a browser on your PC or Mac. Then, if you have not previously signed in to LinkedIn, sign in with your account.
  2. On the top right of your account, click your profile photo. A menu drop-down will be displayed.

  1. From the displayed menu, click View profile.

  1. To modify your LinkedIn URL, on the right pane of the page, click the Edit public profile & URL link. The link opens in a new browser tab.
  1. Your public URL will be displayed on the top right of the page. To edit the URL, click the edit button (looks like a pencil) beside the current URL – see the second image below…
  1. Finally, change the last portion of the URL. Then, to save the change, click Save.

Option 2: Change URL from a Smartphone Browser

  1. Open a browser on your smartphone. Then, open LinkedIn.com and sign in with your LinkedIn account.

  1. On the top left of your LinkedIn account, tap your profile picture. Your Profile will open.

  1. When your LinkedIn profile opens, scroll to the Contact section. Then, tap the pencil on the top right of your Contact section. Your contact info will open for editing.

  1. Then, on the Edit contact info screen, tap your current Personal URL link – the link will open.
  1. To change the LinkedIn URL, tap the edit icon beside the current URL (looks like a pencil).
  1. Finally, modify the last part of the URL and tap Save.
