Want to disconnect spotify from Facebook? Follow my quick steps below.
To complete the task in this guide you need to download and install Spotify desktop app for Windows. The option to disconnect Spotify from Facebook is only available on the desktop app. It is NOT possible to complete this task on mobile.
I performed the demo in this guide on Spotify app for Windows 10. Some of the screenshots may look different if you are using Spotify app on Mac or Linux.
Quick Steps
Here are the steps to disconnect Spotify from Facebook:
- Open Spotify App on your desktop and login with your Spotify account.
- On the top right of the app, there is an arrow pointing downwards. The arrow is beside your Spotify account name. Click the arrow. Clicking the arrow displays additional links. One of the links is Settings (highlighted in the image below).
- On the drop-down, click Settings. This will display the Settings page of Spotify app.

- At the Spotify Settings, scroll down until you get to the Social section.
- Within the Social section of the Settings page, you will find DISCONNECT FROM FACEBOOK. To disconnect Spotify from Facebook click the link.
If your desktop app does not have the option to disconnect from Facebook, use the steps in Don’t see this option? section in this page to reset your Spotify password. Once you create a password, log off the app. Then log back in to repeat the steps in this guide.
Conclusion
Once you disconnect Spotify from Facebook you should be able to login with your email address instead of your Facebook account
