The movie is about an epic battle between two great nations. Around the year 1250 B.C., while on a diplomatic visit to Sparta, the prince of Troy convinces the queen of Sparta to follow him to Troy.
As a result, the Sparta king was furious and ask his brother the king of Greece to help get the Queen back. As a show of strength, the king of Greece command 50,000 Greeks to battle including a legendary warrior – Achilles.

Escape from New York
At no 9 in my pick of the best action movies on Amazon Prime is “Escape from New York”.
In a bizarre time in the future, violence and crime are the order of the day. The government has turned the New York City’s Manhattan into a large prison.
Unfortunately, a plane carrying the president of the United State crashed in the middle of the prison. With the hope of gaining his freedom, a convicted criminal is tasked to rescue the president from the prison.

Total Recall

The story of the movie is about a man named Douglas Quaid. Constantly disturbed by dreams of Mars, Quaid became anxious. In order to learn more, he seeks help from a company to implant an artificial memory of Mars inside his brain.
However, something goes horribly wrong, Quaid finds himself truly in Mars. Furthermore, to stay alive, he has to fight against an evil dictator ruling the planet.
“Total Recall” features action, Sci-Fi, and thriller – making it a fine classic action movie. It is available on Amazon Prime.
Kick-Ass
Coming 7th in my pick of the best action movies on Amazon Prime is “Kick-Ass”.
The story line of the movie is about a high school student Dave who loves comics and lives alone with his dad. Without preparation, Dave decides to become a superhero and save people from danger.
Without any superpowers, special training, or experience, Dave begins the role of a superhero. However, the danger was more real than he imagined they would be.
“Kick-Ass” is a combination of action, crime, and comedy. If you want a relaxing experience, you need to see this one. It is available on Amazon Prime.
The Bourne Identity
Taking the 6th spot in my pick of the best action movies on Amazon Prime is “The Bourne Identity”.
“The Bourne Identity” tells the story of a man known as Jason who was wounded by bullets and left for dead. However, the man was rescued by fishermen who tend to his wounds and save him. Now awake with no memory of his past, this man sets on a path to regain his memory.
Subsequently, as Jason gets closer to the truth, he realizes his life is in danger. As a result, he races to stay alive and uncovers a dark government secret buried in his memory.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout
Ranking at no 5 in my pick of the best action movies on Amazon Prime is “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”.
The story of the movie is about a special agent Ethan and his IMF team. While on a mission, Ethan chooses to save his team but in the process he lost stolen plutonium to the wrong hands.
As a result, Ethan teams up with a hardcore CIA agent. Together, they must stop the criminal organization that have the plutonium before they can use the plutonium as a nuclear bomb.

The Man from Nowhere

The story-line is about an ex-special agent CHA Tae-Shik with a brutal past who decides to live a private life. However, the agent connects and cares for a little girl that lives nearby.
Due to illegal acts of the girl’s mother, a drug trafficking organization kidnap the girl and her mother. After finding the girl’s mother’s dead body, CHA Tae-Shik took it on himself to battle the organization and rescue the girl.
“The Man from Nowhere” features suspense, drama, action, and thriller. If you watch this movie, it will be worth your time. You can watch it now on Amazon Prime.
The Boondock Saints
“The Boondock Saints” ranks 3rd in my pick of the best action movies on Amazon Prime.
The movie centers around two Irish catholic brothers as they mistakenly kill mafia thugs. The brothers quickly surrender themselves to the cops. However, they were set free and seen as heroes. To make sense of the situation, the brothers tag their freedom as a sign from God.
As a result of this, they start to kill more mafia thugs. Meanwhile, the detective investigating the case seems to agree with the actions of these Irish brothers.
“The Boondock Saints” is a remarkable production. If you love action with crime and comedy, this movie is right for you. You can watch it now on Amazon Prime.
Gladiator
Coming 2nd in my pick of the best action movies on Amazon Prime is “Gladiator”.
In this epic action and adventure movie, a great Roman general Maximus is seen as a great warrior and famous among the people. At the time, in spite of his son, the Roman emperor’s dying wish was to make the general his heir.
Before the emperor could make any move, his son has captured the general and killed his family. Condemned to death in the gladiator games, Maximus fights his way up to exact justice on the man that took everything from him.
If you want to have an awesome experience, this is the movie you need to see. “Gladiator” is surely one of the best action movies on Amazon Prime.
The Avengers
Finally, at no 1 in my pick of the best action movies on Amazon Prime is “The Avengers”.
“The Avengers” is about a group of superheroes including Iron man, Thor, Captain America, and Hulk as they form a team under the guidance of Nick Fury – the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
In the wake of a global threat by a mischievous villain Locki and his massive alien, the heroes must unite and fight together as a team to end the threat.
