To make matters worse, my android phone also does not display notifications for WhatsApp, Messages (SMS), and all related notifications.

I found a solution – my android phone that had stopped displaying incoming calls now works as expected. Here are the steps that fixed the problem for me:

When you complete the steps below, all numbers in your Blocked numbers list will be wiped. You may want to note the numbers so that you can re-enter them into your blocked numbers list. Also, your WiFi settings will be reset.

Quick Fix Steps

  1. Tab the Settings app on your phone. If your Settings app is not on your Home screen, swipe down and use the app search feature to search for it.

  1. If you tapped General Management, when it opens, tap Reset.
  1. When the Reset option opens, tap Reset settings.
Do NOT select any other Reset option as selecting the wrong Reset option could lead to data loss.
  1. Then, on the Reset settings page, note settings that will NOT be reset. If you are happy to proceed, tap Reset settings. If you unlock your phone with a PIN, you will be required to enter the PIN.
Resetting your Android phone’s settings fixes the problem that stopped it from displaying incoming calls. The reason for this is that you may have made changes that caused the problem. Resetting the settings reverts your phone’s settings to factory default settings – then incoming calls will start displaying as expected.
  1. Finally, on the final Reset settings screen, note the warning and if you still want to continue, tap Reset.

Your phone will restart. After the restart, your Android will now start displaying incoming calls.
