The Google Pixel 10 Pro is the smaller, higher-specification option for display resolution and telephoto reach; the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE gives you a larger screen and a lower U.S. starting price. At the manufacturers’ listed U.S. starting prices, the Pixel costs $299.01 more before promotions, and the models do not have identical base memory configurations.
How much more does the Pixel 10 Pro cost?
For the U.S. market, Google lists the Pixel 10 Pro from $999, while Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 FE from $699.99. The difference between those starting prices is $299.01. These are manufacturer-listed starting figures, not a live retailer-price comparison: Google’s product page has also shown a temporary $849 offer. Check current prices and compare the same storage capacity before deciding what the premium is today.
The base configurations differ. Google lists the Pixel with 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage; Samsung’s U.S. announcement lists the S26 FE with 8GB of RAM and 128GB. The Pixel is also listed with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options, while Samsung lists 256GB as another U.S. option. Samsung notes that storage availability can vary by carrier or region. Google’s Pixel 10 Pro specifications and Samsung’s U.S. announcement are the basis for these prices and configurations.

Specifications are manufacturer-published figures, not results from a controlled comparison. In particular, battery capacity and charging figures do not establish which phone lasts longer or charges faster in everyday use. Samsung’s announcement prose gives a different charging percentage from its specification table; the table figure is shown above with that qualification.
#1 Best Overall
- Google Pixel 10 Pro is the ultimate Pixel experience, featuring advanced AI with Gemini, unbelievable camera quality, impeccable design in two sizes, and the next-gen Google Tensor G5 chip[1]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan[2]; it works - Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Get a head start on syncing your data before it even arrives: After you purchase your new Pixel, look for an email that explains how to transfer your photos, videos, passwords, and more in just a few quick steps[11]
- Pixel’s pro camera system makes everything look amazing, even in low light; capture more of the scene with advanced Google AI models, and bring out incredible details with 100x Pro Res Zoom, stunning 50 MP images, and super steady videos in 8K[10]
- Pixel 10 Pro is built with durable aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for scratch and drop resistance; the 6.3-inch Super Actua display with 3,300-nit peak brightness is easy on the eyes, even in direct sunlight[3,13,18]
Which phone has the better screen for you?
Choose the Pixel for a compact, sharper display
The Pixel’s 6.3-inch screen is the smaller of the two, and its stated 1280 × 2856 resolution is higher than the Samsung’s FHD+ resolution. Its adaptive 1–120Hz LTPO panel is suited to someone who values a smaller handset and detailed display specifications.
Choose the Samsung for more viewing area
The S26 FE’s 6.7-inch screen gives you more space for video, reading, and apps. Samsung lists a 60/120Hz refresh rate. The screen is larger, but its FHD+ specification is less detailed than the Pixel’s stated resolution. Peak-brightness figures should not be treated as a direct winner without measurements taken under matching conditions.

- Instead of typing, use Gemini Live to have a natural, free-flowing conversation; point your camera at what you’re curious about – like a sea creature at the aquarium – or chat - Gemini to brainstorm ideas or get things done across apps[4]
Which phone offers more camera zoom?
On paper, the Pixel offers more telephoto reach: Google lists a 48MP 5× telephoto and up to 100× Pro Res Zoom. Samsung lists an 8MP 3× optical telephoto and up to 30× digital zoom. The Pixel also has a higher-resolution ultrawide specification, at 48MP versus Samsung’s 12MP.
Those specifications do not prove which phone takes better photos. Megapixel counts and maximum zoom figures are not substitutes for comparable camera tests, and the available comparison data does not establish a real-world camera winner. Choose based on the focal lengths and features you expect to use, rather than assuming the larger numbers guarantee better images.

How do battery and charging compare?
Samsung lists a 4,900mAh typical battery and 45W wired charging; Google lists 4,870mAh typical and a charging claim of up to 55% in about 30 minutes when using a 30W USB-C PPS adapter or higher. Both manufacturers list up to 15W wireless charging. The Pixel supports Qi2 and has built-in magnetic Pixelsnap support; Samsung’s listed wireless charging is 15W.
The wired charging claims use different stated conditions, and Samsung’s own page presents different percentages in its prose and specification table. Neither those figures nor the small difference in typical battery capacity is a matched battery-life or charging test. Both manufacturers say the wired adapter is sold separately; confirm an adapter’s charging protocol and compatibility before buying it.
How long will each phone receive software updates?
Google says the Pixel 10 Pro will receive seven years of Pixel Drops, operating-system updates, and security updates. Samsung says the S26 FE will receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. These are each manufacturer’s support commitments; they do not establish identical release timing or guarantee that every new feature will be available on both phones.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Pixel 10 Pro if you prefer a smaller screen, want its higher stated display resolution, value the listed 5× telephoto and Qi2 magnetic accessory support, or need storage options up to 1TB.
- Choose the Galaxy S26 FE if you want a larger display and the lower manufacturer-announced U.S. starting price, and its 3× telephoto and listed storage options meet your needs.
Samsung announced U.S. availability through select carriers beginning September 3, 2026, with broader availability through Samsung.com, carriers, and retailers beginning September 4, 2026. Availability and configuration can vary by carrier. Google’s launch announcement listed August 28, 2025 as the Pixel 10 Pro’s retail availability date; that dated launch information is not confirmation of current inventory.
