Where does Telegram send the login code?
Telegram may send the login code to another connected Telegram device instead of sending the code by SMS. Before requesting another code, open Telegram on an already signed-in phone, tablet, desktop, or other official client and look for the verified service-notification chat named Telegram.

Use one current official client
Update Telegram through the official app store or Telegram’s official download source, then retry from one official client. If you are attempting initial registration on Desktop or Web, complete registration on the official mobile app first; Telegram’s macOS login interface directs users who have not yet signed up to register from a phone or tablet.

QR login or a passkey may provide an alternative to requesting another SMS code, but availability depends on the account, client, device, and prior setup.
For QR login, an already signed-in Telegram app can usually open the device-linking controls at Settings > Devices > Add Device, or the equivalent label in the current client. Telegram’s iOS login interface documents QR-based device login.
Telegram’s current FAQ also describes passkeys, which can allow login without an SMS code by using a device PIN, fingerprint, or face scan. A passkey works only if the account and device already support and have configured the feature; creating or testing a new login method repeatedly during a flood restriction is not a reason to keep retrying.

Use Telegram’s official support route and provide the full number in international format, the country and carrier, device model, operating system, Telegram version, login stage, exact error text, and approximate start time. Redact login codes and unnecessary personal information from screenshots.
