The Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G is a 2024 camera-focused upper-midrange Android phone with a stabilized 50MP main camera, autofocus 50MP selfie camera, 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 8200 Ultimate 5G processor, 512GB of storage, and 70W wired charging. Its specification sheet is unusually generous for the category, but the buying decision depends heavily on your country: availability, network bands, warranty, software rollout, accessories, and even box contents can vary by regional version.
This is not a universally available U.S. flagship or a current-generation 2026 model. Treat it as a strong hardware package whose value must be judged against the local price and the support available for the exact regional SKU.
Quick verdict
The Camon 30 Pro 5G makes the most sense for buyers who prioritize photography hardware, a smooth high-refresh display, plentiful storage, fast wired charging, and capable 5G performance over guaranteed global availability or the longest-established support network.
Its most meaningful strengths are the optically stabilized 50MP primary camera, autofocus on the 50MP front camera, 144Hz AMOLED panel, 512GB internal storage, and MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate platform. The main qualifications are equally important: the 24GB memory figure includes 12GB of virtual or extended RAM, the supporting cameras should not be confused with flagship-grade systems, and TECNO’s announced Android 16 endpoint does not mean every region receives updates at the same time.
- Best fit: photography-focused buyers who want a large, smooth AMOLED screen and substantial storage.
- Be cautious if: you need U.S. carrier certification, universal band compatibility, widely available local repairs, or a guaranteed current Android build.
- Before buying: confirm the country-specific model, supported network bands, warranty provider, included accessories, and return policy.

Camera system: the phone’s main selling point
50MP stabilized primary camera
The rear camera that matters most is the 50MP primary sensor. TECNO lists a relatively large 1/1.56-inch sensor and optical image stabilization, or OIS. OIS helps physically stabilize the camera module during handheld shooting, which can reduce blur caused by small movements in still photos and make video capture steadier than an equivalent phone without optical stabilization.
That specification supports a camera-led positioning, but it does not establish a particular level of image quality in every situation. Photo processing, exposure decisions, night-mode behavior, video stabilization, and color rendering depend on the camera software and firmware. No independent camera sample set was established for this article, so the phone should not be described as universally superior to every rival.
50MP ultrawide and 2MP depth cameras
The second rear camera is a 50MP ultrawide. It is useful for fitting more of a scene into the frame, such as landscapes, architecture, and group photos. Its high pixel count does not automatically make it equal to the primary camera: supporting sensors can differ in lens quality, sensor size, autofocus capability, low-light performance, and image processing.
The 2MP depth camera is a supporting sensor for depth-related effects. It should not be treated as a third high-quality photographic camera. The rear system also includes a dual flash.
50MP autofocus selfie camera
A 50MP autofocus front camera is an unusual and useful feature in this class. Autofocus can help the front camera maintain focus at different distances instead of relying on a single fixed focus point. That may be valuable for selfies, video calls, and close-range self-recording, although resolution alone does not predict final image quality.
Display and design
The Camon 30 Pro 5G has a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 1080 × 2436 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. AMOLED technology can provide strong contrast because individual pixels can switch off for black content, while the high refresh rate is intended to make supported scrolling and animations look more fluid.

A 144Hz setting can use more power than a lower refresh mode, and not every app or game will render at 144 frames per second. Actual smoothness also depends on software optimization and workload. The specification should therefore be understood as display capability rather than a guarantee of a particular gaming frame rate.

TECNO lists two thicknesses: 7.68mm for the glass version and 7.8mm for the vegan-leather version. Listed colors include LOEWE Edition, Iceland Basaltic Dark, and Alps Snowy Silver, but not every finish is necessarily sold in every market.
Performance and 5G
The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate 5G is a performance-oriented upper-midrange platform. Combined with the 144Hz panel, it gives the phone a hardware profile aimed at responsive everyday use, high-refresh content, photography, and 5G connectivity.
There is no verified benchmark score, standardized gaming test, or independent thermal test in the supplied research. It would be misleading to promise a specific frame rate, benchmark position, or sustained performance level. Temperature, game settings, firmware, network conditions, and the phone’s power-management behavior all affect real-world results.

TECNO lists support for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. Gadgets 360 also lists dual Nano-SIM support, active 4G on both SIMs, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C. These details do not guarantee compatibility with a particular carrier. Check the exact model’s supported 4G and 5G bands against your operator before importing one.
Memory and storage: clarify the 24GB claim
TECNO lists 24GB of RAM, but this consists of 12GB of physical RAM plus up to 12GB of extended or virtual RAM. Extended RAM reserves part of the phone’s internal storage for memory management; it is not equivalent to installing another 12GB of physical RAM.
The more straightforward advantage is the 512GB of listed internal storage. That gives users considerable room for photos, videos, downloaded media, and applications. The supplied specifications do not establish a microSD card slot, so do not assume expandable storage is available.
Battery and 70W charging
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports TECNO’s 70W Ultra Charge through USB Type-C. That is a substantial charging specification for the category, but the stated wattage should not be turned into an exact charging-time promise. Charging speed can vary with the supplied adapter, cable, battery temperature, charge level, software controls, and regional package.

TECNO’s 70W figure also does not prove that an unspecified third-party charger will deliver the same maximum rate. If replacing the charging accessories, verify the charger’s charging protocol, output profile, cable rating, and compatibility with the regional phone. A USB-C cable for Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G may be a sensible replacement-accessory search, but a generic cable or “70W” label alone does not guarantee 70W Ultra Charge.
No controlled battery-life test was available in the research. Endurance will depend on display refresh rate, 5G use, camera activity, gaming, brightness, background applications, and signal strength.
Audio, sensors, and useful extras
TECNO lists dual speakers with Dolby Atmos. The phone’s listed sensors and functions include:
- GNSS positioning
- Wi-Fi
- FM radio
- OTG
- Gyroscope
- Electronic compass
- Ambient-light sensor
- Flicker sensor
- G-sensor
- Fingerprint sensor
- Infrared remote-control functionality
These are manufacturer-listed features. Their availability or behavior can still vary by software version, region, accessories, and local radio requirements.

Software support: Android 16 is the announced endpoint
TECNO announced on May 14, 2024 that the Camon 30 series would receive three Android upgrades through Android 16 and three years of security-patch support. The announcement also identified the Camon 30 Pro 5G as a participant in the Android 15 Beta program.
A later TECNO community support page describes the Camon 30 series as launching with Android 14 and being scheduled for Android 15 and Android 16 upgrades, with at least three years of security updates. It also records region- and version-specific update entries for the Camon 30 Pro 5G.
This is an announced support commitment, not proof that a particular imported phone has already received a particular build. Update timing can differ by country, carrier, model variant, and firmware region. Before buying, ask the seller for the exact software region and check the phone’s update screen after setup. Avoid treating a database page that still lists Android 14 as evidence that every Camon 30 Pro 5G remains on Android 14.
Availability, price, and regional buying risks
There is no single dependable global price or universal retail configuration for this phone. TECNO’s official web presence routes visitors through country-specific pages, and Gadgets 360 records the model as released but not launched in India. That does not determine availability in every other country.

When comparing a listing, verify all of the following:
- Exact model and region: confirm that it is the Camon 30 Pro 5G rather than the Camon 30, Camon 30 5G, or Camon 30 Premier 5G.
- Network bands: compare the seller’s model number and band list with your carrier’s 4G and 5G requirements.
- Warranty: determine whether service is provided locally, by the seller, or only in the original market.
- Software region: ask which firmware region the phone uses and whether updates are available locally.
- Box contents: do not assume that every package includes the same charger, cable, earbuds, case, or other accessories.
- Returns and taxes: account for import duties, activation restrictions, and the cost of returning an incompatible device.
A launch report described a 70W charger and wireless earbuds in a particular package, but bundled items are market-dependent. Treat that report as a named-package detail, not a universal promise.
Which accessories should you buy?
Because the phone has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen and a distinctive rear-camera arrangement, fit matters more than a generic size description. A Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G case should be selected by the exact model name, not merely by searching for a “6.8-inch phone case.” Check the camera opening, button positions, port cutout, speaker openings, and edge coverage before ordering.
A Camon 30 Pro 5G screen protector is likewise preferable to a universal protector based only on diagonal screen size. Confirm that its dimensions and front-camera cutout match the Camon 30 Pro 5G. A poorly fitted protector can obstruct the selfie camera, interfere with touch response near the edges, or leave the display corners exposed.
For a replacement charger, use a trusted accessory that matches the phone’s USB Type-C connection and has a verified output profile. Do not assume every third-party 70W charger will reproduce TECNO’s maximum charging behavior.
Repairs: verify the CL8 model identifier
The model identifier commonly associated with the Camon 30 Pro 5G is CL8. Third-party repair listings show CL8-specific replacement display assemblies and other parts, but they also warn that screens for the Camon 30, Camon 30 5G, Camon 30 Pro 5G, and Camon 30 Premier 5G are not interchangeable.
Before purchasing a replacement part:
- Open the phone’s settings, retail label, or original documentation and confirm the exact model.
- Look for the CL8 identifier, not just “Camon 30.”
- Compare the listing’s part number, connector layout, frame or no-frame design, and AMOLED specification.
- Check the seller’s return policy and part-quality description.
- Use an authorized service provider if you do not have experience disconnecting batteries and handling smartphone displays.
A third-party display may differ from the original AMOLED assembly in brightness, color, touch response, durability, fingerprint behavior, or fit. For warranty diagnostics or official parts availability, start with TECNO official support or the Carlcare service network available in your country.

The supplied official specifications do not establish several details that are often incorrectly added to phone listings. Do not assume the Camon 30 Pro 5G has:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

Buying checklist
Before paying for a Camon 30 Pro 5G, confirm:
- Country-specific stock and the exact model number
- 4G and 5G band compatibility with your carrier
- Local or seller-backed warranty coverage
- Return terms for imported or open-box units
- Whether the box includes the expected 70W charger and cable
- The software region and update policy

- That any case or screen protector is made for the Camon 30 Pro 5G
- That any replacement display is specifically compatible with CL8
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G a 2026 phone?
No. It launched in 2024. It may still be available in some markets, but compare its local price, warranty, and software position with newer phones before buying.
Does the Camon 30 Pro 5G really have 24GB of RAM?
TECNO’s 24GB figure combines 12GB of physical RAM with up to 12GB of extended or virtual RAM. The extended portion uses internal storage and is not equivalent to 12GB of additional physical memory.
How many cameras does the Camon 30 Pro 5G have?
It has a 50MP OIS primary rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 50MP autofocus front camera. The depth camera is a supporting sensor, not a third flagship-level camera.
Will the Camon 30 Pro 5G work with my carrier?
That depends on the regional model and your carrier’s 4G and 5G bands. Check the exact SKU and supported band list rather than relying only on the phone’s name or an imported seller’s description.
Will every Camon 30 Pro 5G receive Android 16 at the same time?
TECNO announced Android upgrades through Android 16 and three years of security patches for the Camon 30 series. Rollout timing remains region-, carrier-, and firmware-dependent, so an announcement is not a guarantee of simultaneous availability.
What model number should I check for a replacement screen?
The Camon 30 Pro 5G is commonly associated with the CL8 identifier. Confirm CL8 and the exact model name before ordering; screens for other Camon 30-series models may not be interchangeable.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G is an attractive 2024 hardware package for camera-focused buyers: OIS on the 50MP main camera, autofocus on the 50MP selfie camera, a 144Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 8200 Ultimate performance, 512GB storage, and 70W charging. Its value is not universal, however. Buy only after confirming the regional SKU, carrier bands, warranty, software region, box contents, and local price. For protection or repairs, match accessories to the exact Camon 30 Pro 5G model and verify CL8 for replacement displays.
