There is no reliable nationwide winner for price, selection or coverage. All three services vary by delivery address, live stock and order. To find the best option for your groceries or essentials, enter the same address in each app and compare the same basket at checkout—including every fee and any membership condition.
How to compare the three apps fairly
Use the comparison for one real order, not a city-wide reputation or a headline delivery offer. Check the apps close together in time, since stock, prices, fees and delivery estimates can change.
- Use the same address. Enter your delivery address in Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit and Zepto. Record which apps accept it; serviceability can differ even within a city.
- Build the same basket. Add the items you actually need, matching size and brand where possible. Note unavailable items, substitutions, listed prices and any differences in pack size.
- Compare the checkout total. Record item prices and all displayed delivery, handling, platform, surge and other charges. Include applicable taxes or other amounts shown in the app.
- Check conditions and timing. Note any minimum order, free-delivery threshold, membership requirement and displayed ETA. Compare the final totals rather than treating “free delivery” as “no added charges.”
This method answers both “Which is cheaper, Blinkit or Zepto?” and which service has the better selection for your needs. Without a specific address and basket checked live, a general price or catalogue ranking would be misleading.
What delivery fees and free-delivery offers mean
Fees are order- and location-specific, so the amount displayed for your cart is more useful than a service-wide claim. The services describe different factors and checkout disclosures:

Zepto’s reported free-delivery threshold
On 19 August 2026, India Today reported that Zepto had raised its free-delivery minimum from ₹149 to ₹199 in select areas. This is a dated report about selected locations, not evidence of a universal or permanent threshold. Check the offer shown in your own app.
Is Instamart, Blinkit or Zepto available in your area?
Coverage is address-specific. A service operating in a city does not necessarily deliver to every neighborhood in it.

- Instamart: Swiggy announced on 17 March 2025 that Instamart had reached 100 cities. Swiggy’s FY2024–25 annual report later reported operations in 124 cities. - Blinkit: Its FAQ lists operating cities and some localities with overnight delivery, but says delivery hours vary by city and locality. Treat the list as a guide, then test your exact address in the app. Blinkit FAQ
- Zepto: Its terms say the company determines the areas and cities in which it operates. The terms do not provide a comparable current city count, so address confirmation in the app is the practical check. Zepto terms
Which app has the best selection?
“Best selection” depends on the items you want and what is in stock at your address when you order. The available evidence does not establish an independent, like-for-like catalogue ranking across the three services.
Swiggy described Instamart as offering groceries and daily essentials in its March 2025 announcement; its FY2024–25 annual report described groceries, electronics, fashion and other categories. For a useful comparison, search each app for your actual items, then compare in-stock options, pack sizes, prices and substitutions in the same delivery area. A broad category list cannot tell you which app has the right product available for your order.
