Choose Small if you are 169 cm (5 ft 6 in) or shorter and under 90 kg (200 lb). Choose Regular for 170–189 cm (5 ft 7 in–6 ft 2 in) and under 100 kg (220 lb). Choose XL for 181–205 cm (5 ft 11 in–6 ft 9 in) and 80–180 kg (175–395 lb). Because Regular and XL overlap from 181 to 189 cm, compare seat width, seat depth, floor-to-seat height and your body proportions before deciding.

The maximum load is a structural limit, not a recommended-fit target. Small and Regular are rated to 130 kg (285 lb); XL is rated to 180 kg (395 lb). All three sizes provide the same core TITAN Evo features, while Small and Regular use shorter hydraulics that can make flat-foot posture easier.

Secretlab TITAN Evo size chart

Secretlab’s published fit guidance uses both height and weight. The figures below are the starting point for selecting a TITAN Evo size.

Size Recommended height Recommended weight Maximum load Seat depth Seatbase width, including sides Floor-to-seatbase height
Small Up to 169 cm (5 ft 6 in) Under 90 kg (200 lb) 130 kg (285 lb) 48 cm 53 cm 45–52 cm
Regular 170–189 cm (5 ft 7 in–6 ft 2 in) Under 100 kg (220 lb) 130 kg (285 lb) 49 cm 56 cm 45–52 cm
XL 181–205 cm (5 ft 11 in–6 ft 9 in) 80–180 kg (175–395 lb) 180 kg (395 lb) 50 cm 58 cm 46–55.5 cm

The dimensions come from Secretlab’s technical specifications. Weight recommendations use “under” for Small and Regular, so a person exactly at 90 kg or 100 kg is not inside those stated recommended limits. The XL range begins at 80 kg and extends to its 180 kg maximum load.

Which TITAN Evo size should you get?

Choose Small when you need the shortest, narrowest fit

Small is intended for users up to 169 cm and under 90 kg. Its 48 cm seat depth and 53 cm seatbase width are the least spacious of the three options. The 45–52 cm floor-to-seatbase range is also shared with Regular and starts lower than XL’s range, which can help a shorter user keep both feet on the floor.

Small is not the “light-duty” version: its maximum load is 130 kg, the same structural rating as Regular. The distinction is physical fit, not a reduced feature set.

Choose Regular for the broad middle range

Regular is the default fit for 170–189 cm and under 100 kg. It adds 1 cm of seat depth and 3 cm of seatbase width compared with Small while retaining the same 45–52 cm floor-to-seatbase range. Users around average height often fall squarely inside this recommendation.

Regular is also the size to examine first if you are over 200 lb but below 220 lb and your height is within 170–189 cm. The 200 lb figure is the Small cutoff, not the Regular cutoff.

Choose XL for a larger frame, higher load or more room

XL is recommended from 181 to 205 cm and from 80 to 180 kg. It has the deepest seat at 50 cm, the widest seatbase at 58 cm and the highest floor-to-seatbase range at 46–55.5 cm. Its maximum load is 180 kg (395 lb), compared with 130 kg (285 lb) for the other sizes.

XL is not reserved only for people above 100 kg. A user between 181 and 189 cm can meet the XL height range while weighing less than 100 kg. In that situation, XL may provide useful extra width, but Regular may produce a closer fit and easier foot placement.

Regular or XL when your height is 181–189 cm?

This is the main TITAN Evo sizing overlap. Height alone does not decide it, because both sizes are within Secretlab’s published height ranges. Use the following sequence instead.

Secretlab Titan Evo XL Black Gaming Chair - Leatherette, Ergonomic | Lumbar Support, High Back, Reclining, Magnetic Head Pillow, Big & Tall (Up to 395 lbs), 4D Armrests, Height Adjustable, Basic
  • ALL-DAY COMFORT FOR WORK & PLAY - PC chair made of cold-cure foam for ideal posture, comes with memory foam magnetic head pillow that can be adjusted over a wide range and snaps into place on your backrest while providing enhanced neck support and pressure relief
  1. Confirm your weight band. At 80 kg or more, you are inside XL’s stated weight range. Under 100 kg, you are also inside Regular’s stated weight recommendation, provided your height is 170–189 cm.
  2. Measure your current chair. Compare usable seat depth and the overall seatbase width with the TITAN Evo figures. Regular is 49 cm deep and 56 cm wide including its sides; XL is 50 cm deep and 58 cm wide. A 2 cm increase in width can matter if side bolsters contact your hips or thighs.
  3. Consider your torso and leg length. Two people of the same height can need different seat dimensions. Longer thighs may benefit from XL’s extra 1 cm of depth; a shorter inseam may make Regular easier to use without pressure behind the knees.
  4. Check your desk height and foot contact. XL’s seat can be adjusted as low as 46 cm from the floor, 1 cm higher than the minimum for Small and Regular. If your feet barely reach the ground in your present chair, the lower Regular range may be preferable.
  5. Choose the size that supports your normal posture, not the largest available shell. Extra room is useful only if it does not leave you sliding forward or losing contact with the backrest and armrests.

Secretlab’s sizing calculator can also use your height and weight to suggest a size. Treat that result as a starting point and verify the physical measurements when you fall in the overlap.

Am I too short for the XL?

Secretlab lists XL from 181 cm (5 ft 11 in), so someone below 181 cm is outside its stated height recommendation even if their weight is within 80–180 kg. A shorter user may find the 46–55.5 cm floor-to-seat range too high, with feet unable to plant comfortably when the seat is at its lowest setting. Seat depth and the larger 58 cm width can also make a smaller frame feel less supported.

If you are 181–189 cm, you are not too short for XL according to the published range. Decide between XL and Regular by checking the overlap factors rather than treating 181 cm as an automatic switch.

Will the TITAN Evo fit someone over 200 pounds?

“Over 200 pounds” covers several different cases:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • 200–less than 220 lb: Regular remains within its stated weight recommendation for users 170–189 cm tall. XL is also within its weight range from 175 lb upward, if your height is 181–205 cm.
  • 220–395 lb: Regular’s recommended weight range no longer applies. XL is the size with a published recommendation covering this weight band, provided you are 181–205 cm tall.
  • Above 395 lb: The published XL maximum load is exceeded. Do not treat the chair as rated for that weight.

Weight alone cannot establish fit. A person’s hip width, thigh length, torso length and preferred recline position can change whether the seat feels supportive.

Recommended weight versus maximum load

Secretlab publishes two different kinds of numbers. The recommended range is a fit guideline that combines body size and intended ergonomics. The maximum load is the structural limit stated for the chair.

Size Recommended weight guidance Maximum load How to use the figure
Small Under 90 kg (200 lb) 130 kg (285 lb) Use the under-90-kg range for fit; do not use 130 kg as a target body weight.
Regular Under 100 kg (220 lb) 130 kg (285 lb) Use the under-100-kg range for fit; the higher rating does not expand the recommended dimensions.
XL 80–180 kg (175–395 lb) 180 kg (395 lb) XL is the only size with a published recommendation reaching 180 kg.

Do not select Small or Regular solely because your weight is below their maximum load. The seat may still be too narrow or short for your proportions, and the published recommendation may not cover your weight.

Seat dimensions and what they mean in use

Seat depth

Seat depth is 48 cm on Small, 49 cm on Regular and 50 cm on XL. A deeper seat can provide more support under long thighs, but it can also leave a shorter user with an edge pressing behind the knees. When comparing your current chair, measure from the front edge of the cushion to the point where the backrest meets the seat, then account for the TITAN Evo’s side bolsters and your preferred sitting position.

Seatbase width, including sides

The published widths are 53 cm for Small, 56 cm for Regular and 58 cm for XL, measured including the sides. This is not the same as a flat, unobstructed cushion width. Side bolsters occupy space and can affect how freely your hips and thighs rest. If your current chair’s sides already feel restrictive, the 2–3 cm differences between TITAN Evo sizes deserve more attention than the headline height range.

Floor-to-seatbase height

Small and Regular adjust from 45 to 52 cm; XL adjusts from 46 to 55.5 cm. The lower end matters for foot placement, while the upper end matters when your desk or armrests are high. Measure from your floor to the top of your current seat cushion with the chair in its normal working position, not compressed by leaning back.

How to measure your body and current chair

  1. Measure height without shoes. Stand upright against a wall and record your height in centimetres. Convert to feet and inches only after recording the centimetre value, since the published boundaries are metric.
  2. Record body weight. Use a consistent scale and compare the result with the recommendation, noting whether you are just below or above a cutoff.
  3. Measure seat depth. Measure the usable cushion from its front edge to the backrest junction. Compare that number with 48, 49 and 50 cm, then check whether your knees remain comfortably clear of the front edge.
  4. Measure total seat width. Include the side bolsters or raised sides, because Secretlab’s width figures include them. Also measure the space between the bolsters if your current chair has pronounced sides.
  5. Measure seat height. With the chair at its lowest and highest settings, measure floor to the top of the seat. Compare those results with the TITAN Evo ranges of 45–52 cm for Small and Regular or 46–55.5 cm for XL.
  6. Check desk clearance. Measure from the floor to the underside of your desk and compare it with the chair’s seat and armrest height. A chair that fits your body can still be awkward if the armrests cannot clear the desktop.

Foot placement, hydraulics and footrests

Small and Regular use shorter, re-engineered hydraulics intended to help more users place their feet flat on the ground. This is a meaningful distinction for shorter users and for anyone who experiences dangling feet when a chair is raised to desk height.

If your feet still do not plant comfortably after lowering the chair, Secretlab recommends adding a Premium Footrest or Professional Footrest. A footrest changes leg support; it does not change the chair’s official height or weight rating. Set it so your feet are supported without pushing your knees sharply upward.

Features shared by all three sizes

Secretlab states that Small, Regular and XL share the same features, so selecting a different size does not mean giving up the TITAN Evo’s core support systems. The product description includes a four-way L-ADAPT lumbar-support system and multiple upholstery choices. Size changes the physical dimensions, hydraulic range and load rating; it does not create a separate feature tier.

Borderline examples

169 cm and 89 kg

This profile falls within Small’s published recommendation. Regular starts at 170 cm, so choosing Regular would be a personal fit decision rather than the stated default. Compare seat depth and floor-to-seat height if you prefer more room.

170 cm and 95 kg

This profile is within Regular’s height and weight recommendation. Small is outside its recommended weight range even though the height is close to the Small boundary.

181 cm and 75 kg

This profile is inside Regular’s height range but below XL’s 80 kg minimum. Regular is the size directly supported by both published ranges.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

185 cm and 90 kg

This profile fits both Regular and XL recommendations. Regular offers a 56 cm seatbase and a lower 45 cm minimum seat height; XL offers 58 cm, a 50 cm seat depth and a 46 cm minimum. Use hip width, thigh length and foot placement to choose.

190 cm and 105 kg

This profile is outside Regular’s 170–189 cm height range and under-100-kg weight recommendation. XL covers 181–205 cm and 80–180 kg, making it the size whose published guidance includes both measurements.

205 cm and 180 kg

This is at the upper edge of XL’s published height and weight ranges and at its 180 kg maximum load. Do not assume any margin beyond those limits.

Common sizing mistakes

  • Using only height. Height cannot reveal whether the seat will be wide enough or whether your weight falls inside the recommendation.
  • Using the maximum load as the fit chart. A 130 kg rating does not mean Small or Regular are recommended for every person below 130 kg.
  • Ignoring the overlap. At 181–189 cm, both Regular and XL can be valid. The larger model is not automatically better.
  • Measuring cushion width but not the sides. Secretlab’s published width includes the side bolsters, which influence usable space.
  • Choosing a deeper seat without checking leg length. XL’s extra depth can be helpful for long thighs but uncomfortable if the front edge reaches behind your knees.
  • Assuming a footrest fixes every mismatch. A footrest can support your feet, but it cannot make an oversized seat narrower or change the chair’s load rating.

A practical decision checklist

  • Is your height within exactly one published range, or do you fall in the 181–189 cm overlap?
  • Is your weight below the relevant “under” cutoff, inside XL’s 80–180 kg range, or above every published limit?
  • Will 48, 49 or 50 cm of seat depth leave space behind your knees?
  • Will 53, 56 or 58 cm including the sides accommodate your hips and preferred posture?
  • Can the chair’s minimum seat height keep both feet flat, or will you need a footrest?
  • Does your desk provide enough clearance for the chair and armrests?
  • Are you selecting the chair for your normal seated posture rather than for occasional lounging?

If every answer points to one size, follow that recommendation. If you are in the Regular–XL overlap, prioritize usable width, thigh support and foot contact; those measurements distinguish the two sizes more reliably than height alone.
