The Samsung 82 Inch (UA82TU8000) TV has a more premium look than the Samsung RU8000. Its bezels are quite thin which gives it an elegant look.

Furthermore, the dark gray bezels are made of plastic but they are well built. On the bottom bezel, you will find a Samsung logo with a control button below it.

For support, the Samsung 82 Inch TV comes with a wide set of legs that supports the TV properly. However, the legs will not prevent the TV from swaying if it is nudged.

Going around to the Samsung 82 Inch TV’s rear, it has a plastic build with a nice texture. It has a quite sturdy build which is identical to that of the Samsung Q60T.

Furthermore, all the input ports are located on the rear of the TV. Also, the inputs are grouped into two with some facing backward while others are facing sideways.

Sadly, the Samsung 82 Inch TV is lacking bass which is bad news for movie lovers. As a result of that, you shouldn’t be expecting an immersive rumbling sound effect.

Therefore, for better sound, users should consider buying a soundbar. On a brighter note, the Samsung 82 Inch TV delivers an audible sound for dialogue.

First, we’ll be discussing the side-facing ports. These ports include 2 USB ports for connecting external storage devices and for charging phones.

Next, we have two HDMI ports with one of them being eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) compatible. eARC allows you to transfer the original sound signal with the use of an HDMI cable to replicate the best sound without defects.

The last port from the side-facing group of ports is the antenna/cable port for connecting to cable TV.

Moving to the backward-facing group of ports, there is a third HDMI port. Below this HDMI port is a digital optical out.

To the right of these ports, there is the composite In port. Meanwhile, below the composite In port, there is an Ethernet port for wired internet connectivity.

Moreover, the Samsung 82 Inch TV comes with some pre-installed streaming apps. These apps include Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon, YouTube, Disney Plus, Hulu, Vudu, Google Play.

Better still, users can download more apps if the available ones are not enough.

There are also two options for digital assistance which are Alexa and Bixby. These digital assistance allows you to use voice commands to control your TV.

Furthermore, users can download the SmartThings app on this TV. The SmartThings app allows users to control the TV in case you misplace the remote.
