Our verdict on Syncdocs

Syncdocs is a Windows desktop client for syncing files and folders between a PC and Google Drive. It is aimed at solo users and small teams who want to choose which local folders sync, including folders stored on a network or external drive. Sync can run automatically when files change, with offline changes resynced when connectivity returns. Users can choose upload-only, download-only, or two-way sync, and work with multiple Google Drive accounts concurrently.

Its feature set centers on Google Drive rather than broad cloud-provider coverage. Syncdocs can schedule Drive backups, retain file revision history through Google Drive, and map Google Docs as a drive letter. It also supports file and folder sharing with access controls, and can optionally encrypt files and folders before upload. Listed integrations include Google Drive, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, OpenOffice/LibreOffice, OneLogin, and SSOEasy. Google Drive is accessible on smartphones through Google, but Syncdocs itself is described as a Windows desktop client; Mac and Linux use requires compatibility software. Choose it when Windows folder selection, backup scheduling, or multiple Drive accounts are priorities; look elsewhere if you need a native Mac or Linux client or a wider cloud-sync scope.

The Free version has limited automatic file syncing after the first 14 days. Standard, registered costs $19.95 and provides an unlimited Syncdocs file quota; one license can be installed on multiple PCs. The vendor lists a 14-day free trial. Although the published starting price is $19.95, its billing period is not clear, so buyers should check the pricing terms before budgeting. This narrow, Drive-focused feature set may suit Windows users seeking more control over what syncs, but it is less fitting for people who need native support across operating systems or cloud services.
