Our verdict on StackScope

StackScope identifies technologies used by newly launched websites and products. It crawls launch sites to detect frameworks, hosting, infrastructure, analytics, payments and other tools, then organizes the results into searchable stack profiles, launch feeds, directories and adoption trends. Technology and keyword watches help product teams, agencies, vendors, lead-generation tools and market monitors track new launches. The product is available on the web and through an API, with company- or site-level profiles for focused research.

Pricing is straightforward across its paid plans. The free plan provides an entry point, while Indie costs $19 per month and includes 1 watch, with 1 technology and 1 keyword per watch, plus lookups, alerts and exports. Pro costs $59 per month and expands usage to 5 watches, 2 technologies and 2 keywords per watch; it also adds published contact details, browse feeds, technology lists and trends. Firehose costs $199 per month and provides every launch as it lands, webhook or Slack delivery, and no ceiling on launches or watches. The pricing page shows USD prices outside the UK and GBP prices for UK customers.

StackScope’s strongest fit is ongoing monitoring connected to existing workflows. Alerts can arrive by email, Slack or webhook, while CSV exports and the JSON API support domain lookup and filtered data endpoints. MCP access connects the product with Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, extending its usefulness for teams already working in those environments. Its focus is narrower than a full historical intelligence platform: records are launch-time observations and are not scheduled historical recrawls, and the listed category specifications exclude historical technology and intent signals. Choose StackScope for newly launched-site detection, watches and AI-assisted access; choose an alternative if scheduled historical coverage or intent data is central to the workflow.
