Our verdict on OrderTaker

OrderTaker is an order, inventory and accounting management platform for manufacturers, wholesale distributors, sales agencies and other small businesses. It supports estimates, invoices, sales orders and credit memos through mobile and desktop workflows, while customers can order through a B2B ecommerce web store or native buyer mobile app. Offline mobile ordering allows synchronization when connectivity returns, and the platform adds catalog search, order history, barcode scanning, e-signatures and payment gateway support.

Pricing is per user per month, with monthly and annual options. Economy costs $55 monthly or $50 with annual billing and includes the mobile and desktop CRM and ordering app, unlimited sales and purchase orders, CSV import and export, and QuickBooks Desktop and Online integration. Business costs $80 monthly or $75 annually, adding CRM features, dashboards, analytics, custom reporting, trade promotions, and CRM, ERP and B2B ecommerce API integrations. Enterprise costs $105 monthly or $100 annually, adding unlimited support, route tracking and planning, back-order management, manager workflow approvals, white labeling and co-branding.

The main strength is breadth: OrderTaker connects order capture with customer-specific pricing, discounts, trade promotions, inventory and customer-credit validation, approvals, payments and delivery-related operations. Its integration list includes SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, Epicor, SYSPRO, Salesforce, HubSpot, BigCommerce, Magento, Shopify and WooCommerce, with API access also available. Teams that need several sales channels and connected back-office workflows should consider it. Smaller teams seeking a free entry point or a narrowly focused order-entry tool should look elsewhere, particularly if they do not need CRM, ecommerce, payment or delivery capabilities.
