Our verdict on NordLocker
NordLocker is an end-to-end encrypted cloud storage and synchronization service for individuals, freelancers, teams, and businesses. It supports uploading, organizing, downloading, backing up, and sharing files through encrypted storage. The product is especially suited to users who prioritize privacy controls, encrypted collaboration, and access across web, Windows, iOS, and Android.
Its freemium structure gives every user a Free plan with 3 GB of cloud storage, unlimited end-to-end encryption, priority support, and secure sharing for a lifetime price of 0. Premium 500 GB and Premium 2 TB plans add larger storage allocations while retaining unlimited end-to-end encryption, priority support, and secure sharing. The paid tiers fit users who need more capacity than the free allowance, while the Free plan offers a practical way to use NordLocker for smaller collections of sensitive files.
Sharing is a standout area. Users can share encrypted files and folders through password-protected links, set expiration dates, assign access roles, and revoke access. Offline file access and local file encryption extend protection beyond cloud storage and synchronization. The platform range is narrower than services that support macOS or Linux, and file-size limits differ by device: Windows supports single files up to 10 GB, while Web Access, Android, and iOS support up to 8 GB. NordLocker is a strong fit for privacy-focused storage and controlled sharing; users needing macOS or Linux support or broader platform coverage should choose a service built around those requirements.
