Our verdict on Insurity Rating

Insurity Rating, presented on Insurity’s current site as Ratio Content and Rating Engine, is a cloud rating and regulatory content engine for admitted commercial property and casualty carriers. It is aimed at mid-market and enterprise insurers that need to apply their own product decisions to bureau content and return rating logic to existing policy administration systems. Supported lines include general liability, businessowners policies (BOP) and commercial auto, as well as multistate and package policies.

The central capability is its handling of content and carrier rules together. It ingests and normalizes machine-readable bureau rates, rules, forms and related content, then applies carrier-specific coverages, factors, rules and product decisions. Rating calculations, form selection and attachment, and statistical code assignment are also supported. Effective-dated product changes and historical references help maintain distinctions between current and prior product logic.
