Our verdict on Appliku
Appliku is a bring-your-own-server platform for deploying and managing Django and other web applications. It connects GitHub, GitLab, custom Git repositories, or Docker workflows to servers hosted with DigitalOcean, AWS, Hetzner Cloud, or another provider. The platform is aimed at developers who want automated builds, releases, HTTPS, databases, background workers, scheduled tasks, logs, and restarts while keeping control of the underlying infrastructure.
Pricing is structured around four plans. The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes 1 server, 1 application, 3 successful deployments per week, unlimited databases, Celery and other queue workers, and community support. Hobby costs $10 per month or $100 per year, adding cluster deployment, unlimited applications, unlimited deployments, unlimited databases, and email support. Growth costs $18 per month or $180 per year and adds 3 servers, cron jobs, and database backups. Business costs $39 per month or $390 per year and includes everything in Growth with 6 servers. Appliku’s management charge is separate from the customer’s cloud-provider server costs.
The main strength is breadth within a deployment workflow: automated Docker image builds and releases sit alongside Django web, Celery worker, beat, and release processes. Managed PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, automatic HTTPS with Let’s Encrypt SSL, persistent volumes, application logs, deployment history, and server monitoring cover much of the operational surface. CLI, Python SDK, and API access also support teams that prefer automation beyond the web dashboard. Appliku is a strong fit for developers who want broad deployment automation across their own infrastructure. It is less suitable for buyers seeking hosting with infrastructure bundled into one plan or a narrowly focused platform with no separate cloud-provider relationship.
