ArcheAge Chronicles Early Access begins on Steam November 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. That is 11:00 PM in the UK and 8:00 AM on November 4 in Korea. The game is a one-time purchase, not free-to-play or subscription-based; XLGAMES lists the North American Early Access price at $29.99 and the Korean price at ₩36,000. Expect three regions, four classes, and progression that separates character levels from weapon traits. This guide explains the launch schedule, server situation, demo wipe, progression, included content, and what is planned after release.
When does ArcheAge Chronicles Early Access start?
Early Access unlocks on Steam on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM PST. XLGAMES announced that time on October 27; Executive Producer Ham repeated it as 3:00 PM PT in an October 29 letter. Those statements refer to the same moment: US daylight saving time ends November 1, so Pacific time is PST (UTC−8) on launch day.

The November 4 date in Korean coverage is the local calendar date for the same global launch, not a separate release. For the UK, the launch is still late on November 3. European conversions that place it on November 3 at midnight are off by a day.
Steam pre-orders opened October 27 at 8:00 AM PDT. The free Steam Next Fest demo ran from October 19 at 10:00 AM PDT through October 26 at 10:00 AM PDT and has closed. No public build is scheduled between the demo and Early Access.

How much does ArcheAge Chronicles cost, and is there a subscription?
ArcheAge Chronicles is buy-to-play: purchase it once to play, with no recurring subscription fee required. The prices below are the Early Access prices reported for the indicated regions; the UK listing was checked October 28, 2026.

Steam uses regional pricing, so the figures above do not establish the price in every country. XLGAMES says the price may change at full release to reflect added content and improvements, with any change to be announced in advance. It has not published an itemized future cash-shop plan. AAC Tools, citing studio material updated October 28, reported there would be no in-game store at Early Access launch; later store contents remain unannounced.
What does the pre-order bonus include?
The pre-order bonus is the Dawn Pioneer Set, a costume for one class of your choice. Steam’s reward flow calls the chest the “Dawn Pioneer Outfit Chest” and also identifies the costume inside as the “Dawnbreaker Vanguard Outfit.” After launch, claim the reward from the main menu using Claim Reward (or N), then open the chest from your inventory. The costume is bound to the character that claims it, so claim it on the character you intend to keep.
What servers and regions are available?
XLGAMES has confirmed Brazil and Singapore servers for Early Access, and says the game will automatically select a region based on player location. The October 29 producer letter also says server-selection labels will be clearer. However, XLGAMES has not published a named Early Access server list, so a confirmed server name or complete region-by-region lineup is not available.
The last published demo footprint included North America East, North America West, Europe Central, Asia East, and Asia South. Brazil was added for the demo on October 23 and appeared under the North America category in its menu. The October 29 letter then identified Brazil and Singapore as additions heading into Early Access; it did not say whether the Brazil menu label would change.
Is there an Oceania server?
No Oceania region has been announced. Australia and New Zealand players may need to choose Asia or North America, depending on the available options and their connection quality. Automatic region selection does not establish that a nearby Oceania server exists.

How do Peace and Conflict channels work?
Peace and Conflict are channels within a region, not separate quest worlds. In Peace channels, player-versus-player combat is off; Conflict channels allow attacks on players outside your party or guild. The October 29 update says party members can stay together across both channel types, receive cross-channel invites, and move directly to the party leader’s channel.
Secondary summaries of Global Project Manager Don’s October 4 PvP post say players can switch channels at a Nui Statue after a delay or cooldown. Those summaries also report that monster kills in Conflict channels grant roughly 10–15% more experience, while killing another player does not drop items or currency. XLGAMES’ October 29 letter confirms the channel and party changes but does not restate that XP percentage, so treat the bonus figure as reported rather than a confirmed launch guarantee.
Does Steam Next Fest demo progress carry over?
No. Demo characters, quests, and save data do not transfer to Early Access. Plan to create a new character when the paid Steam version opens.
The demo offered roughly two to three hours of quests in early Diamond Shores, all four classes, the first public PvP, and the Throne of Hinnon dungeon. Housing and trade were excluded. That short sample is not a preview of the full Early Access activity list: the Steam store includes housing, crafting, trading, company and guild activities in the launch build.
The September 12 network test was a separate, invite-only test in North America that lasted about six hours. Ham said the servers stayed stable under a higher concurrent load than planned and reported average playtime of about an hour and 30 minutes. There is no open beta sign-up currently advertised; the next public access is the paid Early Access launch.

Levels award stat points, but they do not award weapon trait points. Trait points come from Raeven’s Coilstones, which are located near powerful bosses, so character leveling and weapon specialization are separate progression tracks.

Levels, experience, and stats
Characters start at level 1. Monster kills provide some experience, but most experience comes from quests, discoveries, and points of interest. Each level grants stat points that the player assigns. The six primary stats are:
- Strength: physical attack.
- Agility: critical-hit chance and some physical attack.
- Constitution: health and critical resistance.
- Intelligence: magic attack.
- Talent: supports magic attack and allows better gear to be worn without penalties.
- Endurance: stamina and defense.
Each point buys one stat point. Before committing, the character screen previews the change to attack power and critical stats, giving you a chance to check the trade-off rather than assigning blindly.
Weapon traits and build choices
Every weapon type has its own trait tree. A Warrior’s longsword and greatsword paths are separate, for example; switching weapons means engaging with a different specialization rather than carrying over one shared weapon tree. Trait nodes can offer small stat boosts, new skills, or changes to how an existing skill works.

In Don’s greatsword example, one path emphasizes Armor Break and Sweeping Slash damage, while another combines a shield with a guarding Pummel Strike. Trait costs, tree layouts, and alternate skills are expected to change during Early Access as the studio responds to player feedback. October 29 combat notes also mention new stat nodes in Traits and four new Lunastones for the launch build.
Other ways to build a character
- Nui Tears: Take them to a Nui Statue to increase maximum health. Later increases cost more tears.
- Field bosses: Drop gear, accessories, and unique crafting materials.
- Hersander’s Tower: Complete a zone’s riddle offerings to earn a unique accessory and unlock its Hereafter Challenge, a timed, powered-up zone boss with a leaderboard.
- Dungeons: Instanced for a solo player or a party of up to four, with quest progress shared within the party. Throne of Hinnon was the demo’s named high-level dungeon and was intentionally difficult for demo progression.
- Discoveries and treasure: Chests and many discoverable objects can be opened once per character, so players are not racing each other to be first to claim them.
XLGAMES has not stated an Early Access level cap.
What is included in Early Access compared with the demo?
The Steam Early Access description lists three Auroria regions: Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins, and Astron Plains. The demo covered only a small portion of Diamond Shores. Early Access opens most of the rest of that region plus the two new regions.
Ham described the launch build as more than 60 areas, roughly 20 times the demo’s size, and over 1,000 exploration and collection points. Each region has its own stories, bosses, and dungeons. XLGAMES’ October 21 video estimated more than 10 hours of main-quest play per region, or 30-plus hours across all three, before side content; actual playtime depends on how someone plays.

The Early Access feature list includes exploration, dungeons, raids, PvP, housing, crafting, trading, and company and guild activities. The demo held back housing and trade, among other full-build content. The launch build has four classes and eight weapons total. The official class names are Warrior, Ranger, Mage, and Berserker. Studio posts name Warrior longsword and greatsword and Ranger hatchet; other weapon pairings reported in secondary class guides include Ranger longbow, Berserker axe-and-shield and warhammer, and Mage elemental staff and wavesword. XLGAMES has not published a definitive official chart of all eight class-weapon pairings.

Early Access is expected to last approximately 9 to 12 months, according to the Steam store FAQ. XLGAMES plans major and minor updates during that period, but says the duration could change with player feedback and development progress. A public roadmap is promised soon after launch, once players have had time with the build, rather than before release.
First update and gender options
Classes remain gender-locked when Early Access begins. XLGAMES plans to add gender selection at character creation one class at a time. The first option, a female Warrior, is planned for the first update in December 2026; other classes are to follow in later updates, with the goal of removing gender locks from every class by full release.
Weapons and combat changes
A third weapon is planned for each class, rolling out one class at a time. The first update is expected to add the Gladius for Warrior. The studio says it will not rush changes to combat’s core feel—stamina, hit stun, movement speed, and hit feedback—before Early Access. A dedicated combat team will continue iterating during the period. XLGAMES has also identified soft-lock targeting for ranged attacks and party aggro as areas that still need work.

Deciding whether to start on November 3
Starting at launch gets you into the three-region build and makes the Dawn Pioneer pre-order costume available if you pre-ordered. Waiting means you can see how the launch build performs for players, read the post-launch roadmap, and decide whether the planned December Warrior gender option or Gladius matters to your preferred character. Since the studio says the price may change at full release, the current regional price is not a promise about the eventual 1.0 price.

Can you play on PS5 or Xbox on November 3?
No. November 3 Early Access is Steam for PC only. The game has been shown for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and has console storefront listings, but XLGAMES has not confirmed a console Early Access date. An Epic Games Store listing is mentioned in secondary FAQs, but no matching Early Access price or date is established in the Steam-first launch announcement.
PC requirements
Steam lists DirectX 12, a required SSD, and 100 GB of storage for both requirement tiers. The performance targets below are XLGAMES’ published targets, not independent benchmark results.

Steam’s feature list says the game uses kernel-level anti-cheat, identified as XIGNCODE3. Demo-era launch and connection issues addressed in October 29 notes included a shader-compilation screen in place of a black screen, some login and disconnect fixes, an antivirus launch-failure fix, multi-monitor and fullscreen improvements, and automatic fallback if upscaling or frame generation fails. These are stated fixes, not a guarantee that every PC setup will launch without trouble.

Who publishes the game?
XLGAMES is both developer and Steam publisher. The studio took the game in-house after the previous publishing partnership with Kakao Games; Ham said in a September 14 letter that XLGAMES would self-publish ArcheAge Chronicles directly. Ham is the Executive Producer, and Don is Global Project Manager. The official site is archeagechronicles.xlgames.com.
