What’s new about Microsoft Jewel on mobile?
Xbox Wire announced the mobile launch on September 30, 2026. Microsoft describes the game as the fifth mobile app in its Microsoft Casual Games lineup and the studio’s first new mobile launch in seven years. The standalone apps are available for iOS and Android; the announcement does not say that an Xbox console is required.

The PC version has a separate Xbox Store listing. It is free and lists May 6, 2026 as its release date, which is distinct from the mobile launch announcement date.
How does Microsoft Jewel play?
It is a match-three puzzle game: match three or more jewels to clear them and build your score. Bonus Jewels can be collected and placed elsewhere on the board, while Power Jewels and chain reactions add ways to clear jewels. The game also offers Challenge Mode and daily challenges.

Can you earn Xbox Achievements on your phone?
Yes. Sign in with a Microsoft account to track accomplishments and build your Xbox profile from mobile. Xbox Wire says mobile players can earn Xbox Achievements; it does not state an Achievement count.
Does Microsoft Jewel sync between mobile and PC?
Yes. Xbox Wire says progress syncs across the iOS, Android, and standalone PC apps. That lets you switch from a phone to the PC app and continue without starting over. The announcement does not explain the sync technology or describe a console version as part of this continuity.
Which Game Pass members get Premium benefits?
The benefits depend on both subscription tier and device:

What devices and requirements are listed?
The Apple App Store Ireland listing identifies support for iPhone and iPad and requires iOS 15.0 or later and iPadOS 15.0 or later. Those requirements apply to that storefront listing, not necessarily every region or device configuration. The official material cited here does not state a minimum Android version.

If you enjoy match-three puzzles, the mobile app offers the same basic jewel-matching loop with daily challenges and Challenge Mode. For Xbox players, the notable additions are Achievements tied to a Microsoft account and progress continuity between mobile and the standalone PC app. The game is free to download; Game Pass Premium benefits are an optional, tier-dependent extra.
