To further prove the laptop’s processing prowess with the Intel Core i7 CPU, I put it through a Cinebench R15 test. Cinebench R15 is a benchmarking tool designed to evaluate the performance of a computer’s CPU.

The benchmark runs a series of complex rendering tasks using a photorealistic 3D scene, measuring how quickly the CPU can complete these tasks. Additionally, the test gauges both the multi-core and single-core performance of the processor.

The multi-core performance test examines a processor’s ability to manage tasks that can be divided into multiple threads. Simultaneously, the single-core performance test evaluates the speed and efficiency of an individual processing core.

Laptops such as the HP Spectre x360 13-w023dx (3795 points) and Asus ZenBook Flip S UX370 (3521 points) fall short.

Considering all that, I will rate the Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB an eight out of ten in this memory review section.

Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB: Storage Options and Performance

It measures the read and write speed of a storage device. Read and write speeds refer to the rates at which data can be retrieved from (read) or stored to (write) a storage device.

These speeds are measured in units of data per unit of time, typically expressed in megabytes per second (MB/s). At the end of the CrystalDiskMark test, the Yoga 920-13IKB recorded a 2070 MB/s read speed and 1125 MB/s write speed.

In comparison, the laptop has a faster read and write speed than the Dell XPS 13-9365 2-in-1. Specifically, this Dell laptop recorded a 1206 MB/s read speed and 629 MB/s write speed on the CrystalDiskMark test.

Thus, the Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB is deserving of a nine out of ten rating in the storage department.

This provides a decent gaming experience for users who enjoy less resource-intensive games. However, for modern and more graphically demanding games, the key to an acceptable gaming experience lies in adjusting settings.

Lowering graphical settings and resolutions can often result in playable frame rates for some titles. For instance, when I tried playing BioShock Infinite on the laptop in low graphical settings, I got a decent frame rate of 67.1 fps.

Besides playing games on the laptop to test its graphics prowess, I also put it through a 3DMark 11 test. 3DMark 11 is a benchmarking tool that assesses and evaluates the graphical performance of a computer.

It focuses on the computer’s capabilities in rendering and processing 3D graphics. Released in 2010, 3DMark 11 provides a numerical score of a system’s graphical prowess – a higher score equates to good performance.

At the end of the 3DMark 11 test, the Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB delivered a score of 1709 points. In comparison, the Dell XPS 13 9360 with Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 scored 2124 points, surpassing the Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB.

All in all, I will rate this Lenovo Yoga laptop a seven out of ten.

Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB: Battery Life and Performance

The Yoga 920-13IKB comes with a sizable 70 WHr lithium-ion battery. This high-capacity battery provides ample power to sustain the laptop’s performance over extended periods.

Lenovo advertises an impressive battery life of up to 15 hours and 30 minutes when equipped with the Full HD (FHD) display. Even with the higher resolution 4K UHD display, the Yoga 920-13IKB maintains a respectable battery life, advertised at up to 10 hours and 48 minutes.

However, trusting laptop manufacturers regarding their advertised battery life isn’t an ideal choice. Due to this, I put the laptop through a battery test, which involves continuously browsing with the laptop via a Wi-Fi connection.

As mentioned in the design review section above, my Yoga 920-13IKB model comes with an FHD display. So, at the end of the battery test, the laptop recorded a battery life of 11 hours and 25 minutes.

While not on par with Lenovo’s 15 hours claim, this battery life is quite impressive. It ensures that users can enjoy a considerable usage time on a single charge.

In fact, the laptop’s battery life is better than that of the ASUS ZenBook Flip S UX370. Specifically, on the same battery test, this ASUS laptop delivered a battery life of 8 hours.
