To set up and map a Mammotion LUBA 3 AWD 3000, first place the charging station and RTK antenna according to the machine’s manual, then use the Mammotion app to create a map. Choose automatic mapping for a neat, level lawn with clear boundaries and grass under 10 cm (4 in); choose manual mapping when the layout is complex or you need to control the boundary trace.
Before you start: confirm the model and install the station
Check the mower’s product label and use the manual for your exact LUBA 3 AWD variant. Mammotion’s knowledge base lists the English LUBA 3 AWD_User Manual V4.0_EN_202608. Follow that manual for specific placement, clearance, power, pairing, and safety instructions.
Mammotion’s installation overview advises placing the charging station and RTK antenna where they have a clear view of the sky. Once the physical installation and app connection are complete, create the lawn map in the app.

Choose the right mapping method

These recommendations and interface steps come from Mammotion’s LUBA 3 lawn-mapping guide. If the lawn does not meet the conditions listed for automatic mapping, manual mapping gives you direct control of the route.

Create the map in the Mammotion app
Start a new map
- Open the Mammotion app and tap “Start Mapping” on the homepage. Alternatively, open the mower’s device page and choose “Create Map.”
- Choose automatic or manual mapping based on the lawn’s boundaries, terrain, and grass height.
For manual mapping: trace and close the boundary
- Use the app’s joystick to guide the mower around the lawn boundary.
- Keep the mower about 1.5 m from the actual boundary, as Mammotion recommends.
- Return to the starting point so the end of the route meets the start and forms a complete loop.
For automatic mapping: mark each lawn area
- Start the automatic mapping process in the app for a suitable lawn.
- For each additional lawn area, guide the mower there and turn it to face the direction you want it to mow.
- Tap “Mark” for each area. Once all areas are marked, tap “Start Mapping.”
Finish and check the result
When the app displays “Your lawn has been mapped successfully!”, tap “Finish.” The exact prompt is given in Mammotion’s mapping guide.
Set zones, cutting height, and pattern
After mapping, use the app to configure zones, cutting height, and cutting patterns. Mammotion’s installation overview gives stripes and checkerboard patterns as examples. The available controls can depend on the current app and firmware, so use the options shown for your connected mower.

If the app’s mapping screens differ
Mammotion has added mapping capabilities through firmware releases. Its LUBA 3 release notes list automatic mapping in a February 12, 2026 release, map editing in April 2026, and a separate-lawn mapping feature involving lifting the robot over obstacles in June 2026. These dated entries are examples of changes, not confirmation of the newest release. Check the installed firmware and current release notes if an option is missing or a map behaves differently from the steps above.

LUBA 3 AWD is sold in 1500 m² and 3000 m² versions, according to Mammotion’s overview. Confirm the capacity and specifications for your own mower from its product label or exact manual rather than assuming that series-wide mapping instructions establish them.
