On your iPhone, open Settings > General > AppleCare & Warranty, then tap the device to see its coverage information. You can also use Apple’s online coverage checker. A coverage listing shows the plan or warranty status; Apple must assess the specific problem to determine whether a repair or replacement is covered and what it will cost.

Coverage status is not a repair decision
A coverage check tells you whether a warranty or AppleCare plan is listed for the iPhone. It does not guarantee that a particular issue qualifies for service or establish the final price. Apple says it may inspect the device to determine the final service fee; service options can also depend on parts availability and location.
Apple Limited Warranty
Apple describes its Limited Warranty as covering manufacturing issues for one year from purchase. It does not cover accidental damage or batteries that wear down through normal use. The warranty is in addition to any consumer-law rights that may apply in your country or region; consult Apple’s local terms if those rights affect your situation.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Use an authorized provider for Apple coverage
Apple states that only repairs performed directly by Apple or by an Apple Authorized Service Provider are covered by its Limited Warranty and AppleCare plans. An independent repair provider may offer its own warranty, but that is separate from Apple’s coverage. Apple says it does not back non-authorized repairs except where required by law, and damage caused during a non-authorized repair is not covered by Apple’s Limited Warranty or AppleCare.
