The Ecovacs GOAT O1200 LiDAR Pro is a wire-free robotic mower designed for lawns up to 1,200 m². Its strongest on-paper advantages are dual-LiDAR mapping, an integrated edge trimmer and published claims for handling slopes and narrow passages. Those figures come from Ecovacs, however; no independent hands-on measurements are available here to confirm real-world coverage, edge quality or obstacle avoidance. It is most promising for owners who want automatic mapping and less manual edge work, provided their garden layout and local availability fit.
What the GOAT O1200 LiDAR Pro is designed to do
Ecovacs positions the O1200 LiDAR Pro as a small-to-medium-lawn mower with a stated capacity of 1,200 m². The UK product page, accessed 4 October 2026, showed an out-of-stock notice at that time. Its stated capacity is a product rating, not a guarantee that every lawn of that size can be maintained on a particular schedule.
The mower weighs 13 kg and its charging station 2.9 kg. Published specifications include a 5,200 mAh lithium-ion battery, 22 cm cutting width and adjustable cutting height from 3 to 8 cm. Ecovacs lists IPX6 protection for both mower and station, body noise of 61 dBA and trimmer noise of 81 dBA. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. No physical boundary wire is required according to Ecovacs. Its HoloScope 360 navigation system combines a rotating 360-degree LiDAR with 3D-ToF LiDAR. Ecovacs says the mower can automatically map the lawn or be mapped remotely. The company describes setup as taking “one minute” and mapping precision as 2 cm; treat both as vendor claims rather than independently verified results. The practical question is whether mapping works cleanly around your own borders, separate lawn sections and obstacles.

How fast will it mow?
Ecovacs publishes mowing efficiency of about 120 m² per hour in delicate mode and 180 m² per hour in efficient mode. These are manufacturer figures; actual productivity depends on lawn and operating conditions, and the figures do not establish how long a full lawn takes including charging, navigation or repeated coverage. The 22 cm cutting width and 3–8 cm height range provide the key published cutting dimensions. Ecovacs does not establish an independently measured area-per-charge or real-world mowing schedule in the available product information, so buyers should not infer those from the efficiency figures alone.

Can it handle slopes, narrow paths and lawn edges?
Slopes and small barriers
Ecovacs claims the mower can handle slopes up to 45% (24°) and cross barriers up to 3 cm. A percentage grade and an angle are different ways to express slope; the listed 45% corresponds to about 24 degrees. These are manufacturer capability claims, not independent test results. Surface grip, slope length, grass condition and transitions may affect performance.
Narrow passages
Ecovacs reports a 0.8 m passage result from an Ecovacs Laboratory experiment, while noting that actual results depend on grass, lawn, terrain and environment. This is not a guaranteed minimum path width for every garden. Measure the narrowest route and consider turns, boundary geometry and approach space as well as the width itself.

Edge trimming
The O1200 includes an integrated TruEdge trimmer intended to cut along lawn edges. Ecovacs describes the feature, but no independent evidence here verifies how much grass remains at different edge types or how much manual finishing owners will need. A neat result should not be assumed from the presence of a trimmer alone.
How does it deal with obstacles and wildlife?
Ecovacs says its AIVI 3D system can avoid more than 200 obstacle types, including hedgehogs, at a distance of 5 cm. That is a manufacturer claim; there is no independent test in the available evidence establishing detection reliability or wildlife safety across garden conditions. Do not treat obstacle detection as a substitute for checking the lawn and managing risks to pets and wildlife.

What comes in the box, and which parts are listed?
Ecovacs lists the mower with three installed blades and screws, nine spare blades and screws, a lens cover, trimmer module, trimmer line, trimmer brush and two brush parts. The box also includes the charging station with a 10 m power cable, six station stakes, a 3A adapter, Allen key, quick-start guide and manual. Confirm the supplied contents for your market and purchase listing.
The UK product page listed an O1200 trimmer kit for £34.99 and a 10 m charging-station extension cable for £15 when checked on 4 October 2026; these are page observations, not guaranteed current prices or stock. Ecovacs’ displayed blade-kit compatibility list named O600 RTK, O500 Panorama, O800 RTK and G1-800, but not O1200. Do not assume that kit fits this mower without confirmation. The O1200 LiDAR Pro support page is the appropriate model-specific place to check support and parts information.

Price and availability depend on your market
The ECOVACS UK product page showed an out-of-stock alert when accessed on 4 October 2026, so UK availability should be checked directly before planning a purchase. The page promoted the O600 RTK as an alternative, but that is not evidence that it is equivalent or a better fit.
Cinco Días reported a €999 launch price for the O1200 LiDAR Pro in Spain in an article dated 16 February 2026. That is historical launch context, not a current price and not a UK price.
