A regular Surfshark VPN subscription lets you connect an unlimited number of devices at the same time on Starter, One, and One+. The main exceptions are the free trial, which is limited to three devices, and Surfshark Antivirus, which has its own five-connection cap.
How many devices can use Surfshark at once?
Surfshark’s device-limit help page says Starter, One, and One+ subscriptions allow the VPN app on an unlimited number of devices. That means you do not have to disconnect one device to connect another during normal personal use. The policy is the same across these three plans.
“Unlimited” describes VPN connections, not every Surfshark feature or service. Surfshark’s Terms of Service reserve the right to limit immoderate simultaneous use to protect service quality; they cite unauthorized reselling and very large-scale use as examples of abuse.
Exceptions: the free trial and Antivirus
Free trial: three devices
Surfshark’s free trial is limited to three devices. The support page describes a seven-day trial for eligible new users, with plan and payment-method conditions. Its terms also say the subscription is charged after the trial and describe a 30-day money-back guarantee. These commercial details can change, so check Surfshark’s current free-trial terms before signing up.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Antivirus: five simultaneous connections
The five-device limit applies to Surfshark Antivirus, not the VPN. Surfshark’s Terms of Service set Antivirus at a maximum of five simultaneous connections per account. If you use a bundle such as One or One+, keep that separate service limit in mind while the VPN itself remains unlimited.
Which devices can you connect?

For devices that cannot run the VPN app, Surfshark describes configuring a compatible router so devices connected through that network can use the VPN. This can help cover devices such as consoles and some smart TVs, but the sources do not establish compatibility for any particular router model. Check the router’s specifications and Surfshark’s setup guidance before relying on it.
