The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the population has been greatly reduced by mysterious creatures. Once there is a tiny bit of sound, the creatures trace the sound with intent to kill any form of life on their ways.
As a result, the survivors live in silence each day to stay alive. During this bizarre time, two parents and their children reside on a farm – living in silence for some time. Subsequently, the family faces a dangerous encounter with the creatures.
“A Quiet Place” features drama, thriller, horror, mystery, and Sci-Fi. It is surely one of the best movies to watch on Hulu.
Mother (2009)
Taking the 9th spot in my pick of the best movies on Hulu is “Mother (2009)”.
The movie is about a mother’s unconditional love for her son Do-Joon at a time of crisis. When a young girl was found brutally murdered, Do-Joon was seen as the prime suspect and was later convicted for the crime.
However, Do-Joon‘s mother believes her son was framed. As a result, to prove her son’s innocence, the mother desperately searches for the real culprit that committed the crime.
“Mother (2009)” is a superb Korean movie with mystery, crime, thriller, horror, and drama. If you want an exciting experience, you need to watch the movie on Hulu.
Goodfellas (1990)
At no 8 in my pick of the best movies on Hulu is “Goodfellas (1990)”.
The movie tells the story of Henry Hill as he grows to become a mobster. Since his childhood days, Henry has always admired the mobs and wishes to join them someday.
To make his wish come true, Henry clings at the opportunity to become a mobster. Subsequently, as Henry rises as a top mob, it brings more drama along the way. More importantly, Henry‘s complicated relationship with his wife and fellow partners – Jimmy Conway and Tommy DeVito.

Portrait of a Lady on Fire
Taking the 7 spot in my pick of the best movies on Hulu is “Portrait of a Lady on Fire”.
Towards the end of 18th century France, a female painter Marianne is compelled to paint a wedding portrait of a young woman Héloïse. However, Marianne must get the portrait done without the knowledge of Héloïse.
As a result, to get the job done, Marianne observes her model during daylight and proceeds to draw at night. However, the more time Marianne spends Héloïse, the stronger the two women connect.
“Portrait of a Lady on Fire” is a fantastic production. It features drama, romance, and history. You can watch it now on Hulu.
I, Tonya
Coming 6th in my pick of the best movies on Hulu is “I, Tonya”.
The movie is based on true events – leading to one of the most fascinating scandals in sports history. “I, Tonya” tells the story of an American figure skater Tonya Harding. While starting her skating career, Tonya fails to get the deserved attention from the skating community.
Due to her unique talent, Tonya carries on to become a successful figure skater – with a national champion, a world championship medal. However, in the wake of an incident, Tonya was banned from competitive figure skating for life.
“I, Tonya” is an awesome movie – featuring comedy, drama, and biography. You can watch the movie now on Hulu.
Shoplifters
“Shoplifters” is no 5 in my pick of the best movies on Hulu.
The movie revolves around a Japanese family as they shoplift to sustain their wellbeing. All the family members were involved – from the youngest to the oldests.
However, when the family takes in a homeless young girl, it opens up the family’s way of life. Furthermore, the family find themselves in an unexpected situation which reveals the reason why they shoplift.
“Shoplifters” is a remarkable movie with a fine mix of drama and crime. You can watch the movie now on Hulu.
Up in the Air
Ranking at no 4 in my pick of the best movies on Hulu is “Up in the Air”.
The movie revolves around a corporate downsizing expert Ryan Bingham who loves his jobs and enjoys traveling. At the same time, despite traveling around the world, Ryan cares less about compassion or being with people.
However, when Ryan works with a new hire and meets a woman of his dream, it shakes up his world. Subsequently, due to the people he connected with, Ryan has to redefine his identity.
“Up in the Air” features drama, comedy, and romance. It is arguably one of the best movies on Hulu right now.
If Beale Street Could Talk
At no 3 in my pick of the best movies on Hulu is “If Beale Street Could Talk”.
“If Beale Street Could Talk” is a touching story of a young couple – Fonny and Tish. While still enjoying their relationship, the couple’s life took a turn as Fonny was arrested for a crime he didn’t commit.
At the time, Tish was already pregnant but she tirelessly seeks justice for her lover and childhood friend Fonny. Consequently, Tish receives support from the Harlem community including her family.
The movie is an exceptional production with drama, crime, and romance. If you desire an amazing experience, you need to see this movie now on Hulu.
The Dark Knight (2008)
Coming 2nd in my pick of the best movies on Hulu is “The Dark Knight (2008)”.
In this blockbuster movie, Batman engages in a dangerous battle with an old enemy – the Joker. For some time, Batman and the Gotham police department have been successful in dealing with crimes in the city.
As of result of this, unhappy with the state of things, the psychotic mind, Joker creates a new chaotic atmosphere in the city. To put an end to the madness, Batman comes harder on Joker than ever before.
“The Dark Knight (2008)” is a top-notch movie – featuring action, crime, thriller, adventure, and drama. You can watch it now on Hulu.
Parasite (2019)
Finally, at no 1 in my pick of the best movies on Hulu is “Parasite (2019)”.
The movie centers around two families with distinctive attributes. One of the families (The Parks) are wealthy and live in a modernized home. The other family (The Kim) are very poor but are smart scammers.
However, a rare event makes the two families cross path. Thereby, leading to a complicated but symbiotic relationship between the two families.
“Parasite (2019)” is a sensational movie with exciting drama, thriller, and comedy. If you want to have a thrilling experience, you need to add this movie to your watchlist on a Hulu.
