The movie is about the drama that unfolded between Mark Zuckerberg (Founder and CEO of Facebook), the twins (that claimed Zuckerberg stole the idea from them), and the co-founder of Facebook (who was eventually squeezed out of the business).

The drama in the movie is very spectacular. You will love watching this movie.

Boyhood

“Boyhood” comes at no 9 in my pick of best drama movies on Netflix.

The movie centers around a boy and his divorced parents. Despite their divorce status, the parents agreed to guide the boy through his tender age to adulthood.

“Boyhood” is an expressive drama movie. It will give you a warm experience.

Moonlight

Ranking at no 8 in my pick of best drama movies on Netflix is “Moonlight”.

The storyline is about a young African-American man who struggles during his childhood. The challenges he faces are due to the fact that he is a poor black gay.

“Moonlight” is an outstanding production that earned notable awards. The movie will give you a fine entertainment.

Lincoln

“Lincoln” takes the 7th spot in my pick of best drama movies on Netflix.

This movie showcases the drama in a dire time of Abraham lincoln‘s presidency. The president has to deal with a raging civil war, his plan to end slavery and the criticisms that followed.

“Lincoln” is a touching movie depicting political drama. You will find this movie refreshing.

A Separation

At no 6 in my pick of best drama movies on Netflix is “A Separation”.

The story here is about a woman who wants her husband and daughter to leave Iran. The woman believes leaving Iran will give their daughter a better life. However, the husband refuses to leave Iran due to his father’s illness.

As a result, the wife filed for divorce. This got very complicated because it is quite unusual for couples in Iran to divorce.

“A Separation” is surely one of the best drama movies on Netflix. If you love emotional drama, you will enjoy watching this one.

The Departed

“The Departed” ranks at no 5 in my pick of best drama movies on Netflix.

The storyline is about two new cops. They were tasked to go undercover. One must join a group of Irish mobs and the other must betray his own department. However, the situation got tensed when they tried to connect with each other.

“The Departed” is quite a drama with a mix of crime and thriller. The movie will surely worth your time.

Roma

Taking the 4th spot in my pick of best drama movies on Netflix is “Roma”.

The story here is set in the 1970s. It centers around a domestic worker and the family she works for – a family of four children.

At the time, Mexico was in political turmoil and the family was struck by misfortune. However, despite the odds against them, they were able to survive.

“Roma” is an award-winning film. It is sure to captivate you and teach you great lessons. It is a touching movie. I strongly recommend this one.

Room

Ranking at no 3 in my pick of best drama movies on Netflix is “Room”.

“Room” is about a young woman who was kidnapped and raped. During her captivity, she gave birth to a son. After 7 years in captivity, the son was already 5 years old. At this time, she pushes herself to escape.

“Room” is a mind-blowing drama movie. The movie is a fine one to see on Netflix.

Marriage Story

“Marriage Story” ranks 2nd in my pick of best drama movies on Netflix.

The movie is about a couple struggling in their marriage. Furthermore, they engaged in an exhausting divorce process. They eventually came to a critical point where they looked at the possibility of staying together as a family.

“Marriage Story” is entertaining, lively, and touching. The movie will give you an awesome experience on Netflix.

12 Years a Slave

Finally, at no 1 in my pick of best drama movies on Netflix is “12 Years a Slave”.

The movie is based on the true story of Solomon Northup. Solomon Northup portrayed by Chiwetel Ejiofor is a free black man from New York. While he was in Washington D.C, he was abducted and sold to slavery.

The movie is an exceptional production. “12 Years a Slave” is a great movie that needs to be on your watch list.
