If you miss Heardle, start with Songless, Songdle, Musicle, Heardle Decades, heardle.info, or ReHeardle. They preserve the central ritual: identify a song from a short introduction, then hear more after a miss or skip. Other alternatives change the clue entirely—Bandle adds instruments, Lyricle reveals lyrics, Spotle gives artist attributes, and AlbumGuessr uses album information. For group play, SongTrivia and SongPop Party are stronger choices than a single daily board.
The original Heardle is closed, and availability among its successors changes frequently. The list below separates close audio replacements from lyric, artist, album, sample and multiplayer games so you can choose the format that matches how you liked to play.
What happened to Heardle, and what replaces it?
Heardle made a daily shared puzzle from a progressively longer song clip. The familiar structure began with about one second of audio and increased the available excerpt after wrong guesses or skips. Everyone received the same daily challenge, which made the result easy to share without requiring a full account or a long play session.
That original service is no longer operating. The closest replacements keep the short-intro, one-puzzle-a-day rhythm, while newer games experiment with instruments, lyrics, artist biographies, albums and samples. Because these projects can move domains, change catalogs or disappear without notice, treat the availability notes below as a snapshot rather than a permanent guarantee. Musicianle reported manual checks in August 2026; verify a game’s current destination before relying on it.

Which games are most like the original Heardle?
Choose one of these six first if your priority is progressive audio and a shared daily board. Their differences are mainly catalog scope, themed modes and whether unlimited play is available.
1. Songless
Songless is the most direct Heardle-style substitute in the list. You hear a short song clip, submit a guess and receive a longer excerpt after misses. It is a good default for players who want the original recognition skill rather than trivia or artist facts.
2. Songdle
Songdle uses a daily song introduction as its main clue and is described with extra genre, artist and unlimited modes. The daily board preserves the social ritual, while unlimited play is useful when you want more than one round or want to practice without waiting for the next reset.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3. Musicle
Musicle presents daily music-identification puzzles built around short clips. It belongs in the same first-stop group as Songless and Songdle, although the available catalog and exact interface can change as the service is maintained.
4. Heardle Decades
Heardle Decades keeps the audio-first format but organizes boards around a decade, genre or artist. Select a themed board when a broad catalog feels too random, or use a decade board to turn the puzzle into a music-history challenge.
5. Heardle on heardle.info
The Heardle-branded board reported at heardle.info is described with daily, decade, genre and unlimited modes. It may feel closest to the name many former players remember, but the brand name alone does not guarantee continuity with the closed original service. Check that the board loads and that its catalog suits your region before bookmarking it.
6. ReHeardle
ReHeardle is a daily music-intro challenge that reveals more of the recording after skips or incorrect attempts. Its appeal is the same gradual-information curve: confident players can solve quickly, while everyone else earns a clearer clue without immediately giving away the answer.

Which alternatives use a different kind of music clue?
These games are better when you enjoy music knowledge but do not want every round to depend on recognizing the first seconds of a recording.
7. Bandle: identify the song as instruments arrive
Bandle starts with a limited arrangement and adds instruments one layer at a time. Instead of waiting for a longer continuous clip, you listen for the bass line, drums, guitar, keys or other arrangement clues that reveal the track’s identity. It rewards players who can recognize production and instrumentation, not just a vocalist’s opening phrase.
8. Lyricle: solve from lyrics
Lyricle reveals a song’s lyrics line by line. It is the practical choice when audio playback is unavailable, when you prefer reading to listening, or when you remember words but not the melody. Lyric recognition can also favor songs with distinctive hooks rather than instantly recognizable intros.
9. Spotle: identify the artist from attributes
Spotle asks you to identify an artist using feedback such as debut year, genre and nationality. The goal is artist-level deduction, so it suits players who follow discographies and music history more than players who rely on a familiar recording.

Featurle lists albums and asks you to identify the artist common to them. Guesses reveal shared songs or collaboration links, turning the round into a network puzzle. It is especially suited to listeners who know who worked with whom but may not recognize a song from a one-second sample.
11. AlbumGuessr: identify an album from progressive clues
AlbumGuessr gradually supplies artist, genre and year information while you identify the album. The progressive clues make it less dependent on audio memory and more useful for players who organize their knowledge by releases, eras and styles.
12. Sampledle: recognize the source behind a sample
Sampledle asks you to recognize the original recording underneath a track built around a sample. You are solving a relationship between two songs rather than naming the track that happens to be playing, which makes it a natural choice for hip-hop, electronic and pop listeners who enjoy production history.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
13. Popdle: mainstream pop snippets
Popdle narrows the selection to pop-focused daily snippets. A narrower genre can make the game more approachable for casual players, while fans of underground, classical or country catalogs may find the scope less useful.
Quick wins for a faster PC:

Trackdyl is a compact daily track-guessing format. Pick it when you want the Heardle-like habit but have only a few minutes and do not need a large set of alternate modes.
15. SongToSong: connect tracks in a chain
SongToSong emphasizes connections between tracks rather than recognition of a single intro. The reasoning may involve shared artists, versions or musical relationships, so it offers a different mental workout for players who have exhausted straightforward clip guessing.
16. Secret Sound: guess the mystery audio
Secret Sound uses a mystery sound rather than a song. It is adjacent to Heardle because the daily challenge is still audio recognition, but success depends on identifying an environmental or non-musical sound instead of recalling a recording.
17. Musicianle: identify a musician from discography clues
Musicianle masks titles and asks you to identify a musician from discography information. Musicianle reports eight guesses and a large musician set. This is a strong fit for players who enjoy catalog depth and career patterns more than a short audio excerpt.
18. bside.games: a no-sign-up daily music hub
bside.games combines Heardle-style clips with lyric, album-cover and timeline puzzles in one no-sign-up hub. It is useful if your group likes rotating formats without maintaining separate bookmarks, although each individual puzzle can have different rules and catalog coverage.
Which options are best for multiplayer, mobile or competitive play?
A daily board is usually solo and asynchronous. Choose one of these when you want private rooms, a larger quiz format or a phone-and-console experience.

19. SongTrivia
SongTrivia uses a multiplayer blind-test format with private parties and quizzes organized by genre, decade and artist. It works better than a daily board for a scheduled group session because everyone can play the same quiz together and choose a category before starting.
20. SongPop Party
SongPop Party is a paid multiplayer game built around short-clip song identification on console and PC. It is aimed at competitive play beyond one shared daily puzzle, so it makes sense for households or friend groups that want repeatable matches rather than a free browser round.
21. Tapzz
Tapzz is listed as a freemium guess-the-song product for iOS, Android and the web. Its cross-platform availability makes it convenient for phone play, while the freemium model means some content or features may be gated rather than entirely free.
22. Swiftle
Swiftle is a Taylor Swift-focused Heardle variant listed by several directories. It is the obvious choice for fans who want an artist-specific catalog, but its status is particularly volatile; verify that the current site works before recommending it or planning a daily streak.

How should you choose a Heardle alternative?
Start with the experience you want, not the name of the game. The following shortcuts narrow the list quickly.

- You want the closest replacement: Try Songless, Songdle, Musicle or ReHeardle. Choose Heardle Decades or heardle.info when you want decade, genre or unlimited variants.
- You want more control over the music category: Use Heardle Decades, Songdle’s genre or artist modes, Popdle for mainstream pop, or Swiftle for a Taylor Swift-only catalog.
- You identify songs by production: Bandle tests instrument recognition, while Sampledle tests whether you know the source behind a sample.
- You remember facts better than melodies: Spotle, Featurle, AlbumGuessr and Musicianle turn artist, collaboration, release-year and discography knowledge into the main clue.
- You cannot or do not want to use audio: Lyricle is the clearest audio-free alternative because the clue is written lyrics. bside.games also offers lyric, album-cover and timeline formats.
- You are playing with friends: SongTrivia is designed around private parties and category quizzes. SongPop Party is the more substantial paid option for repeatable console or PC competition.
- You want phone access: Tapzz is the only entry here explicitly listed for iOS, Android and web. Browser-based titles may also work on a phone, but their current mobile support is not established in the available descriptions.
- You need a very short session: Trackdyl’s shorter daily format is a better fit than a multiplayer game or an unlimited mode.
What should you check before starting a new daily streak?
Availability is the main practical risk with Heardle-style projects. A directory listing can outlive the site it describes, and a working page can change its catalog or rules without preserving old streaks.

- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
- Open the current destination directly and confirm that a puzzle loads rather than an error, parked domain or unrelated page.
- Check the date and reset time shown by the game. A different time zone can make a “new” puzzle appear early or late.
- Play one round before creating a bookmark collection or sharing the title with a group.
- Look for the mode you need—daily, unlimited, themed, private multiplayer or mobile—because similarly named projects do not necessarily offer the same options.
- If audio fails, test the page with browser sound enabled and another network. If the game still cannot play clips, switch to Lyricle or one of bside.games’ non-audio formats rather than assuming the puzzle itself is broken.
Do not assume that a title carrying the Heardle name is operated by the original service. The closed original and its successors are separate projects, and their song catalogs, rules and longevity can differ.
What makes a good Heardle replacement?
A strong replacement preserves three things: a clue that becomes clearer in controlled steps, a result that can be compared with friends, and a round short enough to fit into a daily routine. Songless, Songdle, Musicle and ReHeardle meet that brief most directly.
Variety matters once the basic format becomes familiar. Bandle and Sampledle reward production knowledge; Lyricle helps when listening is impractical; Spotle, Featurle, AlbumGuessr and Musicianle reward structured music knowledge; and SongTrivia or SongPop Party make the activity social rather than solitary. Choosing by clue type will give you a more durable routine than choosing by branding alone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can two people play the same Heardle alternative together without being in the same room?
Yes, but the experience depends on the title. A shared daily board lets people compare results asynchronously, while SongTrivia is the better fit when you want a private quiz session; confirm that the current room or invite feature is available before scheduling one.
What should I do if a listed game has disappeared?
Try another title with the same clue structure rather than relying on an old bookmark. For progressive audio, move between Songless, Songdle, Musicle and ReHeardle; for a non-audio format, Lyricle or AlbumGuessr can preserve the daily puzzle habit.
Are Heardle alternatives limited to one puzzle per day?
No. Songdle and the board reported at heardle.info are described with unlimited modes, while other entries focus on a single daily challenge or a short round. The available mode can change, so check the current interface instead of assuming every title has unlimited play.
Which game is easiest for someone who does not know much music theory?
Start with a broad progressive-audio game such as Songless or Musicle, where recognition—not terminology—is the main skill. Bandle, Spotle and AlbumGuessr require more specialized knowledge of instruments, artists or release details.
