For most collectors, the Delta Reign Booster Display Box is the best pack value at the reported US distributor list price: 36 packs at about $4.49 each. Choose the standard Elite Trainer Box instead if you want the exclusive full-art Kyogre promo, sleeves and storage accessories. The Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box is a specialist sealed collectible, worth considering only at its $59.99 list price for the stamped Kyogre. A six-pack Booster Bundle is the sensible lower-cost entry, while a Build & Battle Box is for playing at prerelease. If you want one specific chase card such as Mega Rayquaza ex, buy that card after launch rather than trying to pull it from sealed product.
Delta Reign’s official worldwide paper release is November 6, 2026; Pokémon TCG Live receives it on November 5. The recommendations and prices below reflect US information checked in October 2026, with European prices identified separately.

“List price” here means distributor figures reported by PHD Games/Printed Price and repeated by market trackers; The Pokémon Company does not publish a US consumer MSRP. Secondary-market prices were much higher in late October, so a product’s ranking changes dramatically if you pay a reseller premium.

When does Pokémon TCG Delta Reign release, and what can you open early?
The retail street date is Friday, November 6, 2026. The only sanctioned way to open Delta Reign cards earlier is to attend a participating Play! Pokémon prerelease, which begins Saturday, October 24, using a Build & Battle Box. Pokémon TCG Live receives the expansion on November 5, one day before physical products.

Official showcase products are the 36-pack Booster Display Box, nine-pack Elite Trainer Box, 11-pack Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box, six-pack Booster Bundle and four-pack Build & Battle Box. Retailers also list sleeved packs and several promo blisters, but those are not part of the showcase page. Early-release or league arrangements can vary by store, so confirm dates and participation rules with the local organizer.
Which Delta Reign product gives the most cards per dollar?
At list price, the Booster Display Box and Booster Bundle are tied at approximately $4.49 per pack. The box is the efficient choice for a serious opening; the bundle gives the same pack economics without committing $161.64 at once.
| Product | Packs | Reported US list | List cost per pack | What you do not get |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Booster Display Box | 36 | $161.64 | $4.49 | No promo or accessories |
| Booster Bundle | 6 | $26.94 | $4.49 | No promo or accessories |
| Standard Elite Trainer Box | 9 | $49.99 | $5.55 | You pay extra for Kyogre and the kit |
| Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box | 11 | $59.99 | $5.45 | Still not a packs-only product |
Each English booster has 10 game cards and one Basic Energy. Do not apply Japanese Storm Emeralda pack math to Delta Reign: Japanese boxes contain 30 five-card packs, whereas the English display has 36 ten-card packs. There is no official English pull-rate table, so more packs increase the number of cards you see but do not guarantee a particular rarity or Pokémon.

The Pokémon Company describes the display box as the product for people who want “as many Pokémon TCG cards as possible.” It contains four reported pack artworks—Mega Rayquaza, Mega Golurk, Mega Malamar and Mega Golisopod—and is the practical format for building bulk, trading material and a first pass at the set. It has no exclusive card, so every dollar goes toward packs.
A box is not a promise of a Mega Rayquaza ex, an illustration rare or any other named card. If your objective is a playset or a specific illustration, compare the box price with the single-card price after release before opening multiple boxes.
When the Booster Bundle is better
The six-pack bundle costs one-sixth of the reported box list price and is easier to give as a gift or split among family members. It contains only six packs; claims that it includes a promo card conflict with the official product showcase, which lists packs only. At list price it matches the box’s pack economics, but late-October market prices were already less attractive.
Is the standard Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box worth buying?
Yes—at its $49.99 list price, the standard ETB is the best all-purpose collector product. You receive nine packs plus a full-art Kyogre promo that secondary guides identify as the English-exclusive MEP 117, 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, damage-counter dice, a coin-flip die, a plastic coin, a storage box and a player’s guide.

The extra $1.06 per pack compared with a box or bundle pays for items that are otherwise useful to a player or collector. The Kyogre artwork is reported to come from Japan’s Storm Emeralda and to have been removed from the English booster-card pool, so the promo cannot be pulled from a Delta Reign pack according to multiple independent guides. That “not in packs” statement is secondary reporting rather than a sentence from the official showcase.
Use the official 40-card Energy count. Some retailer listings and copied tables say 45, but the Pokémon Company’s product description says 40. The official text also confirms a sturdy storage box without specifying a divider count; conflicting listings mention four or six, so do not buy an ETB based on a particular divider number.
When the ETB is a bad deal
Do not pay a large reseller markup merely to obtain nine packs and a promo. The Lab TCG’s October 28 TCGplayer snapshot put the standard ETB at $106, or 2.1 times the reported $49.99 list. Best Buy showed $49.99 as “Coming Soon” in an October 16 store check, while other listings ranged from Target’s $59.99 to GameStop’s $89.99. Waiting for a list-price restock is financially better unless the promo itself is your priority.
Is the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box worth it?
Only if you specifically collect stamped promos or sealed Pokémon Center products and can buy it at the $59.99 list price. The exclusive box contains 11 packs—two more than the standard ETB—and two full-art Kyogre promos, with one carrying a Pokémon Center logo.
The extra two packs make its list cost about $5.45 per pack, slightly below the standard ETB’s $5.55, but that is not a reason to pay secondary prices. Pokémon Center preorders reportedly sold out in about two hours on September 30, and the October 28 TCGplayer snapshot was $295, or 4.9 times list. Another October listing was $369.48 with only three offers. At those prices you are paying for scarcity and the stamp, not pack value. No restock date had been confirmed, so monitor Pokémon Center directly rather than treating reseller availability as normal retail supply.
Which Delta Reign products are best for promo collectors?
Promo-focused collectors should buy the product that contains the card they want, not whichever format has the lowest pack price. The key retail exclusives reported for Delta Reign are below.
| Product | Exclusive or associated promo | Packs | Reported list price | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard ETB | Full-art Kyogre, MEP 117 | 9 | $49.99 | Kyogre plus a complete kit |
| Pokémon Center ETB | Two Kyogre promos, one Pokémon Center-stamped | 11 | $59.99 | Stamped and sealed collecting |
| Seel 3-pack blister | Seel, MEP 116 | 3 | $13.99 | Best promo-plus-packs value at list |
| Spritzee checklane blister | Spritzee, MEP 115 | 1 | About $5.49 | Completing the product promo run |
| Premium checklane blisters | Ampharos line or Delphox line promo | 1 each | Not consistently stated | Specific promo hunting |
| Target single-pack blisters | Keldeo or Xerneas promo | 1 each | Not consistently stated | Retailer-exclusive promos |
At list price, the Seel three-pack is the strongest compromise: $4.66 per pack plus a named promo. Sleeved packs and single blisters become poor pack purchases on the secondary market. The October 28 snapshot showed sleeved packs at $18.18, Spritzee blisters at $19.95 and Seel blisters at $33.93; those prices make sense only if you are deliberately buying the promo or packaging.

Retailer pairings beyond Keldeo and Xerneas have not been fully established. CardJinx and other guides mention combinations such as Xerneas with Deoxys and Keldeo with Delibird, but treat those pairings as subject to regional or retailer variation.

Buy one for prerelease play, not as your main sealed-collecting product. Each box has a 40-card ready-to-play deck, four Delta Reign booster packs, a Pokémon TCG Live code and one of four unique foil promos: Masquerain, Magmortar, Enamorus or Kommo-o. The four-card list is reported by ICv2; one early article misspelled Kommo-o as “Kormmo-o.”
Participating Play! Pokémon stores began prerelease events on October 24. Stores commonly reported entry fees around $30–$35, but each organizer sets its own fee. In the 40-card prerelease format, prize cards are set aside at the beginning of play. Before release, organizers may restrict sales to event participation, so a box seen online is not necessarily a normal retail listing.
The October 28 TCGplayer snapshot was $50.69, or 2.3 times the commonly cited $21.99 list. Once regular distribution broadens after November 6, the Build & Battle Box is a fun four-pack-plus-deck purchase, but it is not an efficient substitute for a bundle or display box.
What cards and rarities are in Delta Reign?
The Pokémon Company describes Delta Reign as an expansion of over 135 cards. Trade coverage of the August 20 announcement identifies four Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, six other Pokémon ex, six Stadium cards that form three Legendary Stadiums, 14 illustration rares, 17 ultra rares and six special illustration rares. The headliners are Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Golisopod ex.
Mega Rayquaza returns to the TCG in Mega form for the first time since XY: Ancient Origins, according to ICv2’s August 20 report. The English card list was still unpublished on October 28, so the exact checklist and database entries may change around launch. A revealed example is Aarune special illustration Supporter 139/103, indicating secret cards above a 103-card numbered portion; that should not be mistaken for an official final card count.
How Legendary Stadiums work
The three Legendary Stadiums are printed as connected two-part artworks. Marching Dogs and Gaming Route report that both halves appear together in one pack and share a name for the four-copy deck limit, so a deck can contain two complete pairs rather than four copies of each half. The claim that all six halves are Uncommon and have no secret versions comes from secondary coverage, not the Pokémon Company’s showcase, and should be treated accordingly.

Why Japanese previews do not predict English pulls
Japanese Storm Emeralda is the principal source for Delta Reign’s English cards, but its 30 packs of five cards are a different product from the English 36-pack, 10-card display. Japanese community data cited by PokéItem sampled 1,380 packs across 46 boxes and saw each of two flagship Mega Rayquaza ex versions twice. That is a small community sample, not an English pull-rate promise.
PokéItem’s September 27 index placed one copy of each of the other 111 Japanese cards at about €283, roughly one display’s price, illustrating how value can concentrate in a few cards. It also recorded the Japanese Art Rare Kyogre at €13 and a 70% drop for Storm Emeralda’s gold Mega Rayquaza ex in just under eight weeks. Those figures are useful context for market volatility, not a forecast for Delta Reign singles.
How much were Delta Reign products selling for before release?
The following comparison uses distributor list figures and The Lab TCG’s TCGplayer market snapshot from October 28, 2026. List prices are not official Pokémon Company US MSRPs.
| Product | List price | Market price, Oct. 28 | Market multiple | Packs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pokémon Center ETB | $59.99 | $295.00 | 4.9× | 11 |
| Sleeved booster | $4.49 | $18.18 | 4.0× | 1 |
| Booster Pack Art Bundle, set of 4 | $17.96 derived | $72.92 | 4.1× | 4 |
| Spritzee single-pack blister | $5.49 | $19.95 | 3.6× | 1 |
| Seel 3-pack blister | $13.99 | $33.93 | 2.4× | 3 |
| Standard ETB | $49.99 | $106.00 | 2.1× | 9 |
| Loose booster | $4.49 | $9.35 | 2.1× | 1 |
| Booster Bundle | $26.94 | $47.78 | 1.8× | 6 |
| Booster Display Box | $161.64 | $232.46 | 1.4× | 36 |
| Build & Battle Box | $21.99 | $50.69 | 2.3× | 4 plus deck |
Eight of the ten tracked products were at least twice their list figure in that snapshot. The display box was the least inflated of the major sealed products, but $232.46 still works out to about $6.46 per pack—far above the $4.49 list figure. A market premium is a timing signal, not proof that the product’s cards will retain that value.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should I preorder Delta Reign or wait for retail?
For ordinary collectors, waiting for the November 6 retail release is the lower-risk choice. Recent Pokémon launches have shown large preorder-to-post-launch moves: NerdSnack reported Pitch Black preorder prices falling 32–80% within ten weeks, while PokéItem recorded French declines of 28% for its ETB, 19% for a display, 33% for a bundle and 34% for a pack between July 5 and September 27. Delta Reign could behave differently because Mega Rayquaza demand may be stronger, but launch sellouts often ease when stores receive restocks.
Pokémon support, as relayed by SetPulls and HotDropStock, has said products that run short will continue to be reprinted, without promising dates. A reprint ETB is the same box, so scarcity claims should not pressure you into a $100-plus purchase.

A practical launch-week buying sequence
- Check a local game store and the Play! Pokémon Event Locator. Ask about prerelease availability, event fees and any limits.
- Watch the Best Buy product page while signed into an established account. High-demand Pokémon products may use invite or reservation language; “Request an invite” is not a normal waitlist.
- Check Target during its usual overnight restock window. Restock tracking cited by HotDropStock has observed Friday restocks around 3–6 a.m. Eastern Time, and the ETB had a one-per-customer limit in an October 16 check.
- Use Amazon only with a price cap. Set the standard ETB cap at $49.99 and the bundle cap at $26.94, and select sold and shipped by Amazon. Third-party listings were not confirmed as first-party supply in early October.
- Compare Walmart drawing prices with list. Winners are charged automatically, so check the amount before entering.
- Avoid bots, duplicate accounts and paid checkout services. Retailers may cancel orders that violate purchase rules.
Pokémon Center uses a virtual waiting room and region restrictions; keeping preorder and in-stock items in separate carts can matter. A confirmation screen is more reliable than a delayed email. The Pokémon 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection also releases on November 6, so set a total budget before launch-day shopping competes for the same allocation.

What is the best Delta Reign product for each collecting goal?
- Most cards per dollar at list: Booster Display Box for 36 packs, or Booster Bundle if $26.94 is the practical limit.
- A single complete collector package: Standard ETB at $49.99, because it combines packs, Kyogre and usable accessories.
- Kyogre, Seel and Spritzee promo set: Standard ETB, Seel 3-pack blister and Spritzee checklane blister, bought at retail.
- Sealed centerpiece: Pokémon Center ETB at its $59.99 list price only, for the stamped Kyogre and scarcer packaging.
- One named chase card: Buy a single after release. Sealed product is the expensive way to target a specific card, and no product guarantees one.
- Playing immediately: Build & Battle Box at a sanctioned prerelease.
- Small gift: Seel 3-pack blister for a promo, or Booster Bundle for six packs without accessories.
- Products to avoid at late-October secondary prices: Standard ETBs near $106, Pokémon Center ETBs around $295, and sleeved packs near $18.
How we picked the recommendations
The ranking separates goals instead of declaring one universal winner. It weighs list-price cost per pack, the price collectors were actually seeing in late October, exclusive promos, pack volume, accessories, sealed scarcity, gift size and whether the product supports prerelease play. Official Pokémon Company contents take priority over conflicting retailer tables; secondary-market figures are labeled with their date and are not treated as guaranteed future prices.
How should I collect Delta Reign without overspending?
Start by choosing one objective: open packs, collect product-exclusive promos, preserve a sealed box or acquire particular singles. Buy one ETB or bundle at list to sample the set, then switch to singles for cards you still need. Keep a written ceiling for each product and ignore listings above it until regular retail supply returns.
If you keep sealed product, store boxes away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight, and photograph the package condition when it arrives. If you open, separate playable cards, tradeable duplicates and bulk immediately; the set’s official English checklist and database entries were not yet published on October 28, so leave room to update your checklist around release day.
What retailer gift-with-purchase promos arrive with Delta Reign?
From November 6, participating retailers offer one of three 30th-anniversary “What’s Your Favorite?” promos while supplies last when you spend at least $15 on Pokémon TCG products. In the US, Hot Topic, Barnes & Noble, Five Below and Macy’s are associated with Kyogre; GameStop with Groudon; and Best Buy with Giratina. These are separate gift-with-purchase cards, not the full-art Kyogre inside the ETB. The offers are available in store and online where the retailer participates, but inventory is limited.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Delta Reign Kyogre promo be pulled from a booster pack?
The full-art Kyogre numbered MEP 117 is reported by several independent guides to be excluded from English Delta Reign booster packs and distributed through the Elite Trainer Box products instead. That conclusion comes from secondary set tracking; the official showcase confirms the promo is in the ETB but does not publish a pull-rate statement.
How many cards are in an English Delta Reign booster box?
A Booster Display Box has 36 packs. Each English pack contains 10 game cards and one Basic Energy, so the box contains 360 game-card slots plus 36 Basic Energy cards, although the exact rarity mix is not guaranteed.
Will the official English Delta Reign card list be available before release?
As of October 28, 2026, the complete English list had not been published. Expect the card database and final checklist around release, and do not treat Japanese Storm Emeralda numbering or preview lists as the finished English list.
