What is The Uncensored Library?
The Uncensored Library is a curated press-freedom project built by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) with BlockWorks inside Minecraft. It republishes selected journalism and information about press freedom as Minecraft books arranged in an explorable architectural environment. Those figures describe the documented structure, not equal depth for every country or complete representation of every censored article.

Because editors select and place the material, the library offers context and discovery rather than an automatically crawled record of the web. It is therefore a real digital press-freedom intervention, but not a general-purpose archive with exhaustive URL search, complete historical versions or guaranteed real-time updates.
How large and influential is it?
A 2022 campaign report from Media.Monks and S4 Capital attributes 12.5 million blocks to the build and reports more than 20 million users from 165 countries. These are organizational campaign figures, not an independent audit, so they should be treated as reported reach rather than a verified usage measurement.

Is Tor an archive or a private way to reach one?
Tor is an access and privacy layer. Tor Browser and onion services can reduce exposure of a user’s location and help reach sites when ordinary routes are blocked, but they do not preserve pages, assess accuracy or make a source trustworthy.
