VisionQuest is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on October 14, 2026. To prepare, watch WandaVision and then Agatha All Along; three earlier Marvel films add useful context but are optional. The date is upcoming as of October 4, 2026, and local availability and launch timing may vary, so check Disney+ in your country.
Where to watch VisionQuest
Marvel announced VisionQuest for Disney+ on October 14, 2026, and Disney’s August 15, 2026 regional press release described it as exclusive to the service. Marvel’s announcement identifies the date; Disney Spain Press also gives the date and exclusivity. Because those announcements do not establish territory-by-territory timing or catalog availability, check your local Disney+ listing rather than assuming a universal launch time.
The official synopsis sets up a rebooted Vision hiding after escaping people who wanted to weaponize him. He seeks a new purpose with the help of AI personalities in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultron. A bounty sends him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious young man who may be his reincarnated son. That premise makes the two earlier series the most relevant preparation.
What to watch before VisionQuest
Marvel calls VisionQuest the final installment in the trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along. That makes the two-series order the most direct route into the story.

Minimum useful preparation
- WandaVision: Watch the season if you can, rather than relying only on a recap. Disney+ lists one season and nine episodes. The finale leaves two distinct Vision identities in play: the Vision Wanda created in Westview, and the rebuilt White Vision, who leaves after recovering his memories.
- Agatha All Along: Watch it after WandaVision. It continues the family thread involving Billy and Tommy and is the middle chapter of the trilogy.
For a time-saving route, these are the two to prioritize. WandaVision establishes the situation with White Vision; Agatha All Along adds the relevant continuation of the family story.
Expanded catch-up order
If you want more of Vision’s history before the series, this editorial watchlist adds three films ahead of the two shows. It is a recommendation, not an official Marvel prerequisite list.

- Build the ultimate collection of figures featuring Marvel's legendary characters
- Avengers: Age of Ultron: Introduces Vision and his connection to Ultron.
- Captain America: Civil War: Adds context to Vision and Wanda’s relationship. The cited catch-up guide considers this the easiest of its three film recommendations to skip if you are short on time.
- Avengers: Infinity War: Explains the loss that precedes WandaVision.
- WandaVision: Establishes White Vision and the Westview family.
- Agatha All Along: Continues the family story.
This five-title sequence follows Popped’s September 11, 2026 guide, which explicitly presents its list as an editorial recommendation rather than an official set of requirements. If you already remember the earlier films, the guide says to focus on the two series.
Optional Marvel context
For a broader catch-up, Popped also suggests Avengers: Endgame after Infinity War and before WandaVision, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness between WandaVision and Agatha All Along. The guide additionally identifies Iron Man and Spider-Man: Far From Home as optional context for AI systems named in the VisionQuest synopsis. These expand the MCU background; they are not direct substitutes for the two-series preparation order.
