Find the model number before searching
Look for the model number on the tool’s label. RYOBI says it is usually near the top left and generally begins with a letter, such as P or RY, followed by numbers and letters. Use the full model number rather than a broad description such as “old Ryobi trimmer”; parts and support searches rely on specific model or part numbers. RYOBI’s Support page provides access to manuals, parts, diagrams, and repair information.
Search RYOBI’s parts catalog
Use the RYOBI Power Ordertree parts portal to search by model number or part number. When you find a listing, compare it with the parts diagram for your exact model and confirm the part number before ordering. Similar-looking tools can use different components, so do not rely on the product name or appearance alone.
RYOBI’s discontinued-products collection can help identify products, but it does not establish that a specific tool or replacement part is currently available. Check the exact part listing and its current availability; a discontinued product may still have parts listed, while a broad catalog page is not proof that a particular component is in stock.

The Home Depot
The Home Depot’s RYOBI outdoor-power parts catalog includes parts and accessory listings. A category listing alone does not show that a component for your particular discontinued model is available, so verify the model and part number on the individual listing.

Ask about repair when you cannot source the part
RYOBI offers Rapid Repair for eligible products and an authorized service-center locator. Eligibility depends on the item; some power-tool and outdoor-power categories are excluded from the online program. RYOBI cautions, “Not all Service Centers repair all RYOBI tools.” Contact a center before visiting to confirm that it services your tool, and check whether your item qualifies for Rapid Repair.
For warranty work, consult RYOBI’s current warranty terms and service-center guidance rather than assuming an older service guide covers today’s options. Service eligibility, coverage, and local availability can depend on the tool and location.
